Forum:Aklys confusion

I understand about Aklys' effect not going off when the monster he's equipped to is removed from the for Lev but what about is the monster is used for syncro? For example. Summon Dux and equip Aklys to him him. Then sync the Dux with a phalanx to make whatever. Would Aklys' effect go off then? Or is he really that useless now with heavy storm gone?68.179.242.25 (talk) 18:15, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

Also, what if the monster he's eqipped to is simply destroyed by battle? 68.179.242.25 (talk) 18:20, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

In neither case will Aklys' effect be triggered. Aklys needs to be equipped to the monster when Aklys is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, when the monster Aklys is equipped to is used for a cost such as for a synchro summon Aklys is sent to the graveyard by game mechanics after the equipped monster so Aklys is no longer considered to be equipped to a monster. The same applies if the monster is destroyed by battle of flipped face down with Book of Moon, basically Aklys will only trigger if destroyed by an effect that does not also destroy the monster it is equipped to.--DarwinDawkins09 (talkcontribs) 18:32, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

Like I've said before this question has been answered a long time ago. You need to learn to use the "Forum Search Function". I need to correct you on that last line. As stated in Forum:Aklys....: "When both the monster and Aklys (which is treated as an Equip Card) is destroyed at the same time with effects like Black Rose Dragon or Icarus Attack targeting both of them, the destruction effect will still activate.".-- HHTurtle Talk   18:42, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

Shut up Turtle. Now need to be a jerk. I didn't quite understand what you were saying in those other topics so I posted for the sake of definate clarification. Didn't mean to be a hassle. 68.179.242.25 (talk) 01:47, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

If you didn't understand what was said in the previous threads then just post on the bottom of that thread. We encourage everybody to just use the "Forum Search Function" so that the same topic wouldn't be posted in multiple threads.-- HHTurtle Talk   04:01, November 11, 2010 (UTC)
