is the ruling of aklys is true or authentic?

This Wikia has no confirmed rulings about that situation. However, judging from the Japanese Wiki's Semi-Official Rulings, if the monster that was equipped with Dragunity Aklys was removed from the field, flipped face-down or destroyed at the same time as Aklys, the destruction effect of Aklys will not activate. Bottom line is the destruction effect of Aklys will not activate if it was destroyed by Game Mechanics. It must be equipped to that monster before it was sent to the graveyard for that effect to activate.-- HHTurtle Talk 09:07, August 21, 2010 (UTC)
- Sigh, and the official FAQ has changed to reflect this. Yay, ruling reversals! --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 14:48, August 21, 2010 (UTC)
Another Ruling Reversal (yippee)
From the Japanese Wiki,
- Q:装備モンスターと同時にこのカードが破壊され墓地に送られた時、条件を満たせますか?
- A:はい、条件を満たせます。(10/09/11)
Translation:
- Q:If both Aklys that is treated as an Equip Card and the monster that is equipped with it are destroyed at the same time, is the effect of Aklys triggered and does it activate?
- A:Yes, the effect of Aklys is triggered and activates.
Basically from the aforementioned ruling, Konami has presented another ruling reversal. What it means is that when both the monster and Aklys (which is treated as an Equip Card) is destroyed at the same time with effects like Black Rose Dragon or Icarus Attack targeting both of them, the destruction effect will still activate.-- HHTurtle Talk 16:18, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
- I dunno, it's not necessarily a reversal. "Dragunity Aklys" is still equipped to a monster while it is destroyed. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 05:04, September 18, 2010 (UTC)
I guess so but it depends on the notion of what is considered "destroyed while equipped". I'm just glad that Konami is taking the time to rule on how the effect of Aklys would work in specific situations.-- HHTurtle Talk 06:38, September 18, 2010 (UTC)
