who thinks that Atlanteans will make it at least to tier 2 this format, what with the structure deck coming in october? Also, if they are tiered, will it be combined with Mermail, or water based Genex cards?--SepulchresApprentice (talkcontribs) 18:24, September 8, 2012 (UTC)

Probably the Mermail if at all. I'm starting to think that Brionac was banned so Atlanteans wouldn't become a huge force to be reckened with because of 1 card after the meta game had been established. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:15, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
I would have thought Konami would have done all they could to ensure their newest Structure Deck would sell well in the TCG. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 17:51, September 9, 2012 (UTC)

By looking at Shriek, Decks with Mermail + Atlanteans are doing well. Of course, if Brionac was still Limited, this Deck would be Tier 1 easily. --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 13:43, September 10, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, but they can still abuse Gungnir, it's an once per turn effect, but at least it give up to 2 effects of both Mermail or Atlanteans. --E.G.G. (My Contributions) 20:14, September 15, 2012 (UTC)

Anyway, the decks that seem to be winning seem to be Atlantean and Mermail hybrids, but it's not like just that deck is topping. As I looked through the Shriek OCG posts, I only saw like 4 Mermail/Atlantean decks out of like 25 different tournaments. I saw way more Six Sam and HERO decks than I did Mermail/Atlantean. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 15:48, September 16, 2012 (UTC)

All of them are fairly similar in design.

To be fair out of those 25 tournaments from looking at Skriek myself all I can say is that it's hard to establish what exactly is Tier 1 at the moment as the range of decks that are topping is huge. I've not such a diverse meta game in quite a few years, hell even Rock Stun has topped a few tournaments. No one or two decks is dominating this meta and thus if you were to make a tier list quite a few decks would be in the top tier.--The FireFALL (talkcontribs) 23:23, September 16, 2012 (UTC)

To back up what I previously said I looked at and noted down all the decks which have won on Shriek since the new banlist came into effect and this is the list...

  • Hero Beat 3
  • Sea Emperor Mermail 3
  • Offering Machina Gadgets 2
  • Six Sam 2
  • Laval 2
  • Evilswarm Laggia 2
  • Agent Angel 2
  • Macro Skill Drain 1
  • Karakuri 1
  • Scrap 1
  • Dino Rabbit 1
  • Necrovalley Skill Drain 1
  • Geargia Karakuri 1
  • Armor Ninja 1
  • Inzector 1
  • Dragunity 1
  • Hieratic 1
  • T.G. Agent Angel 1
  • Jurrac Ninja 1

I haven't put the Elementary or Middle school tournaments into the list as sometimes you'll come across decks of like 37 or 40 cards. So for the adult tournaments it's pretty much Hero Beat and Mermails leading the way though not exactly by much. As such if you wanted to make a tier 1 'as of right now' it would be any deck which has won twice or more.--The FireFALL (talkcontribs) 03:27, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
