Forum:Awesome combo - revival

  1. activate: The Black Garden
  2. activate: The Summoning Curse
  3. normal summon: The Agent of Creation Venus

NOTE: overall potency is dependent on remaining cards in hand and ability to set and/or use/avoid banishment due to the curse of s-summoning, and/or take advantage of the plant creatures summoned to the opponent's side off the field per The Black Garden, as it affects both players. (ex: set COTH, ex: set battle waltz, ex: set D.D.R. (for summon of a monster banished per the curse of s-summoning))

First, to counter the inevitable (and likely 1st) argument that Effect Veiler is an easy answer to this combination, I will first say that effect veiler, while (likely) created to help balance out the FACT of advantage the turn player holds on (most especially) turn 1 of the duel, (and any turn in which the turn player is currently in) is for the weak, and will not be tolerated. (haHA) Also, there are various counters to the scourge that is veiler such as Prohibtion and D.D. Designator (admittedly a risky move, yet worth the possible banishment in consideration of the benefits to the player not on the receiving end of this combination. Also, it gives you further advantage by being able to view the different cards in the opposing players hand (prior to banishment, which will occur) and the one giving the gift of this to her/his opponent, insight into what type of deck the opposition is choosing to use. To a lesser extent, (but in most scenarios, only on turn 1 of the duel) in place of a D.D. Designator, Crashbug Road can also be used for, not only a "free" summon (dependent on what creature you should have at the time: typically with this particular combination - TAOCV - lv 3) but, because of the plant creatures (dark/lv2/plant) summoned to your opponent's field per The Black Garden, if in fact they do possess a lv 2 creature in their opening 5 cards, you will have gained (albeit a small amount) of information on their preferred choice cards in the current duel. (which should end shortly, provided the combination is a success, and the opponent's 1 draw for their 1st turn is not GORZ..quite the irritant) Bear in mind that Chaos Hunter cannot prevent The Summoning Curse from it's (Chaos Hunter) controller from banishing cards from their hand, so this will not counter either. Lastly, and only so due to it's current limited status, Ally Genex Birdman & Chain Summoning is yet another counter to veiler, should the opposition choose to generously provide an additional chain link to The Black Garden (upon normal summon of TAOCV) and/or to the activation of TAOCV's effect, increasing the chain link to the required 3 upon activation of The Chain Summoning, allowing for (even in birdman's absence, an additional 2 normal summons to work with) To a lesser extent, and, in many cases, with greater ease, a Double Summon can be used in place of The Chain Summoning, which itself is NOT included in the extra normal summons potentially gained from it, leading to a possible 4 normal summons in a single turn, and, in fact, avoiding any hand banishment per The Summoning Curse. (prior to any ss-ing that may occur directly following)

So..

After The Black Garden and The Summoning Curse are active on my side of the field, and The Agent of Creation Venus has been normal summoned, the remaining cards in hand (if any) have been activated, set, or summoned, activate TAOCV's effect to ss Mystical Shine Balls from (preferrably) the deck thrice. At this point, taking into account veiler's presence, (the best hope for counter) and after ss-ing all 3 msbs, the opposition's (pre turn 1) opening hand has now been reduced to 1, (due to banishment per The Summoning Curse & The Black Garden duo: 1 for TAOCV's normal summon & still 3 due to msb's ss) this, not even accounting for the card(s) set prior to the intiation of this, which in all likelyhood, will be used to summon additional monsters (if not already xyx summoned per msbs: Herald of Faithful Light, Gachi Gachi Gantetsu, etc..). So, your opponent has lost a minimum of 4 cards in hand to the banished zone, and has them replaced with 4 dark plant tokens at 800 attk, which can be dealt with in any number of ways, one of which is with the spell Owner's Seal, a card which, is generally under utilized in this game, and can be (quite simply and to great effect) combined with Lava Golem, (another highly underrated card) or Volcanic Queen. This spell of course, would transfer rightful ownership back to the controller of The Black Garden, leaving the opponent with nothing more than a single draw to enter their turn 1 and, perhaps 1 plant token. (best case being a Chaos Hunter also, which will be dealt with) This combination was present in any number of builds I posted including TAOCV, The Black Garden, and The Summoning Curse, and I felt it appropriate to lay out the method.

This does not take into account another use for the msbs, which will be to include Dark Simorghs, and Tyrant's Throes, further reducing the dwindling options left for the opposition in the wake of this most distressing maelstrom.

To summarize: Bring out these 3 cards, flood the opponent's field, wipe their hand in the process (and yours too, if you're not careful.)
Interesting combo, pal, needs more damage output and stuff. But then again, it's already a good base from which you can develop other plays, provided you have the field/hand capacity to do so. Follow up with Gachi Gachi in Defense position to give yourself a good field presence while leaving the opponent with no hand at all (assuming this is a turn 1 play) and no vacant Monster Zones.
The little issue is that you'll also be exhausting your own hand at the same time, making it hard to proceed to the other plays you've described (barring Xyz with the balls). Even Herald of Faithful Light can't assist you since once you're done you also have no hand (once again, assuming turn 1 play), either due to Summoning Curse banishing your hand or you Setting your remaining S/Ts to minimize that form of loss. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 01:51, October 5, 2013 (UTC)
"D.D. Scout Plane" could also be used, because:
  • it's also Level 2 for "Gachi Gachi";
  • it's DARK, so you may use "BLS-EotB" or other Chaos;
  • it returns if it's banished with "S. Curse" or other method.

The opposition summoning The Chaos Hunter amidst this is actually both an incentive & disincentive, due to her ability preventing the person giving this gift from banishing cards from their hand, allowing for its maximum use. On the positive, The Chaos Hunter would serve as a roadblock, or gatekeeper if you will, protecting the precious lifepoints just beyond.

Apologies for that mess of a post.

N Kram (talkcontribs) 21:58, October 7, 2013 (UTC)N KramN Kram (talkcontribs) 21:58, October 7, 2013 (UTC)

Here, let me fix that mess for you.

Now, a little lesson on wikia formatting. Starting a line of text with one or more spaces will induce a textbox

like this.

Thus, it'll be better if you prefix the paragraph with a colon, so that it starts with an indent

like this.
You can add more colons to the start of the paragraph to increase this indent.

Meanwhile, asterisks will create bullet points

  • like this

While hash-symbols will create numbered lists

  1. like this
  2. and that.
  1. But be careful when you introduce line breaks in between lists.

Adding appropriate links will also reduce the necessity of explaining the card details (since anyone who wants to know what it does can just check the link), and make your things a little easier to read.

Final Addendum: I find it your tendency to inconsistenly prefix "The" on card names slightly inconvenient. This might be funny when you encounter Fabled and The Fabled. Don't you agree, The N Kram? --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 00:57, October 8, 2013 (UTC)

The N Kram agrees.

The Agent of Creation - Venus, Black Garden, Summoning Curse method is named, The Equalizer.

N Kram (talkcontribs) 13:25, October 8, 2013 (UTC)N KramN Kram (talkcontribs) 13:25, October 8, 2013 (UTC)

I must mention that one of the most effective ways to take advantage of the method mentioned in my previous post - AOCV SC BG, is to normal summon as much as possible PRIOR to any ss-ing during the turn in which this is executed. The Light of Destruction is an example, using the effects of Mahunder and Pahunder for additional normal summons.(not to exclude Thunder Nyan Nyan) This is also the reason I choose to main deck 1 Chain Summoning in most versions, since, in addition to gaining effects from a monster's normal summon, (as well as starting a chain) it helps to avoid unnecessary hand banishment, in which case, the opposition's stance would likely sway towards injustice, than equality.

N Kram (talkcontribs) 13:39, October 8, 2013 (UTC)N KramN Kram (talkcontribs) 13:39, October 8, 2013 (UTC)

I have described "The Equalizer" for the sole purpose of making it existance known, but it's use is strictly forbidden by anyone not myself, unless tribute is payed, or one can break down in great detail how exactly this was found. Also, thank you for the lesson in wikia formatting. It was illuminating, and greater care will be taken in future posts to avoid another unsightly mess.

N Kram (talkcontribs) 18:00, October 9, 2013 (UTC)N KramN Kram (talkcontribs) 18:00, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

Maximizing normal summons accounts for the possibilty of Maxx C being in the opposition's first 5 drawn cards, which, if so, would still not prevent the banishment of 1 card per ss.
