I just learned that this card has a twisty ruling in OCG list; Why can this card attack then activate it effect to Special Summon other Rank 3 WATER monster from Extra deck if "Obelisk the Tormentor" must choose either Attack only OR activate it effect to blow the field off, not do both? If in that case, we should had punch the "Stardust Dragon" with Obelisk before crushed two monsters I controlled then sneezed all over opponent's monsters that way. Or is Konami just being stupider and stupider...? --iFredCat 00:54, October 8, 2012 (UTC)
- If the lore says "この効果を発動する場合、このターンこのカードは攻撃する事ができない。" (This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.)
- then if you do one, you can't do the other.
- Bahamut Shark says "このターンこのカードは攻撃できない。" (This card cannot attack this turn.)
- then you can attack first, then activate the effect.
- The first is a restriction, the second is an effect that applies.

- If you read the card, you'll see that Obelisk the Tormentor is using the first type.
