Forum:Beginner's Six Sam Deck

So the first time I played this game was in fourth grade and I stopped somewhere around the sixth. I'm in college now and this past month I've been getting back into it since a friend now plays it. I started off again building a deck with strong level 4 monsters but then later finding out how much the game has changed. So I decided to build a Six Samurai deck to get a feel of a different style of play.

TRADITIONAL FORMAT since I play with friends only and we use cards like Raigeki/Feather Duster

So here's a deck list to see what I can improve on:

Six Samurai is a powerful archetype, you don't need to play in Traditional Format with them. Remove the forbidden cards. --Missign0 (talk • contribs) 14:02, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

Personally, I'd go:

• -1 Nobleman of Crossout (side deck if you want)
• -1 Waboku
• -1 Enishi, Shien's Chancellor
• -1 The Six Samurai - Irou
• +1 Six Samurai United
• +1 Legendary Six Samurai - Shinai
• +1 Legendary Six Samurai - Kizan
• +1 Legendary Six Samurai - Enishi

And if you're looking to continue using Sams, and get into more than just dueling with your friends, look for the card Asceticism of the Six Samurai. That + Elder or Kagemusha = Shi En. S1L3N7_N1GH7S 01:56, August 20, 2012 (UTC)

Add a third Kizan and Kagemusha, add an Enish, and get rid of Shogun Shien, Chancellor Enishi, Kamon, and Yaichi. What is your aim with the deck? I ask because you might also want to get rid of Shinai and Mizuho, and you only need two of Kageki, not three. Lastly, you need to add at least two Effect Veilers.

For magic, you need a third United and you definitely want three Ascetisms. Get rid of Nobleman, Feater Duster, at least one MST, and honestly, Dark Hole is not necessary for Samurais. Oh, and Dojo only depends on your deck's goals.

On the trap side, get rid of Torrential< Waboku, and Mirror Force. Put in some Fiendish Chains, CED, and maybe a BTH or DPrison. I would say get rid of the Magatama as well and add another DEST depending on the purpose of your deck.

As for the extra deck, you definitely want Shi-En, Beast, Barkion, Catastor, Excalibur, Shadow Shien, Utopia, Maestroke, Invoker, and Zenmaines in it. I also recommend going for Utopia Ray.
