Can Stardust Dragon Assault Mode negate the effect of bottomless shifting sand after it has been activated, but during the end phase when it effect activates can it be negated? This is really important and I need to know... Judgment (Talk)09:20, 04 July 2010 (UTC)

Nope, "Continuous" Effect is jammed from being destruction. It's like you tried to negating "Level Limit - Area B" with summoning "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8" (via level up, while LL-AB was already activate). Those all cards related to Assault Mode, Horus, Counter Traps (Magic Jammer, Seven Tools, you get the drift) required to activate ON the "Activate and Effect" same time. Therefore you lost your Assault Mode and summoned it former form. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 13:25, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

Well, it depends. The TCG & OCG have not issued a ruling on whether or not the effect of Bottomless Shifting Sand starts a chain or not. If it does start a chain, its effect can be negated by the effect of Stardust Dragon. The best we have now is an Semi-Official Ruling from the OCG stating that it is "under revision". It would be best to consult your tournament judge well beforehand.-- HHTurtle Talk   14:05, November 4, 2010 (UTC)
