My opponent tribute summons Caius and I activate book of moon on him, is his efect negated?

  • No! His effect resolves properly. Caius doesn't need to remain face-up on the field in order to apply its effect. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 17:59, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Why doesn't Caius need to be on the field why his effect is resolve? or Because his effect is compulsory trigger effect?

If Goyo Guardian attack and destroy an opponent's monster by battle, then opponent activate Michizure to destroy Goyo Guardian after that. Does the effect of Goyo activate to special summon an opponent monster that be destroy by Goyo? due to Goyo himself does not stay on the field? this case I don't sure if it quite same to Caius.

  • Michizure has been ruled as "able to be activated in the Damage Step", so, yeah. Goyo Guardian needs to be face-up on the field to activate and resolve his effect. If he is not, the effect disappears, unlike Monarchs. --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 09:29, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
"Goyo Guardian" only needs to be face-up to activate its effect; once the effect is activated, it will resolve, regardless of where "Goyo Guardian" is. See Card Rulings:Blackwing - Shura the Blue Flame.
In the example, the effect of "Goyo Guardian" was activated properly, so it will resolve properly.
