Well, here I am again, putting together another fun Deck. This one focuses on milling with the Chain archetype in Crossroads of Chaos.

There's only three cards that Mill, how can the deck focus on milling if only three cards in the deck Mill? O-o If you really want to focus on Mill I would suggest maxing out Poison Chain and adding 3 Needle Worms. 68.90.122.46 13:41, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Noted. Changes made:

  • -3 Exiled Force
  • -1 Scapegoat
  • -1 Nobleman of Crossout
  • +3 Needle Worm
  • +1 Poison Chain
  • +1 Lightning Vortex

Keep the advice coming.--Gadjiltron 12:25, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

May I ask why Royal Impregnable Fortress in in? I'd take that out if you don't have a good reason for it. I'm not very familiar with this Archetype, the two new packs(seeing as I play the TCG), or milling decks, so I can't really suggest much more, sorry. Good luck, I've always liked Mill decks, just never got around to making one. 70.245.32.120 19:07, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

  • Well, Royal Impregnable Fortress is there to keep stuff in the Graveyard. I have plenty of Graveyard revival stuff like C-Repairer and Pot of Avarice, and also things that trigger in the Graveyard like Giant Rat. It would kill the deck if they go out of play, so the card keeps that from happening. --Gadjiltron 01:06, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

I got down to thinking a bit, and decided that Royal Impregnable Fortress is better off as a Side Deck option, and swapped both Fortress cards with Bottomless Trap Hole. Any other suggestions...?

EDIT: For modifications for the upcoming September List, I've removed Premature Burial and a Lightning Vortex in favour of Shrink, and taking out both Chain Shooters for Gilasaurus to ease up the Synchro Summoning.--Gadjiltron 04:54, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Are you playing the OCG or the TCG? 70.245.32.102 11:31, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

  • I play by OCG banlist. Doesn't stop me from using TCG cards. --Gadjiltron 11:33, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

I went and built part of my Chain Deck out of my Rat Toolbox, and it went pretty fine, though it could always be better. So I've swapped out the Nightmare Steelcage for Reinforcement of the Army to seek out Chain Repairer, and swapped Gilasaurus and Spirit Reaper for Marauding Captains to aid the swarm and Synchro. Any further suggestions? --Gadjiltron 10:33, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Been thinking through the deck again. Do you guys think that Threatening Roar will make a good addition to it? It stalls out the opponent for a moment, and is good defense against stuff like GBs.

EDIT: I've finally substantiated the Deck, though I'm still proxy-ing the Needle Worms. Decklist has been modified to show it. Some things I'm considering that could make good additions to the deck...

  • Threatening Roar?
  • Morphing Jar?

What do you think?--Gadjiltron 04:48, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

...Geez. Anyway, I've made more modifications to the deck again, and the decklist is updated as seen above. It still seems to be rather frail, any ideas on how to help? --Gadjiltron 09:51, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

  • U plan to play by synchro or by milling? Btw ur warrior seems quite little for 3 maruading captain. I would recommend stall cards if u want to play mill or if u wan play swarm, I recommend more warriors to synchro or destroy monsters like exiled forces. Crystal88884 12:03, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
  • Remove chain coil for Iron Chain Blaster . Crystal88884 12:06, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
  • What good does Chain Shooter do? I plan to play mostly by milling, and bringing out Chain Dragon as soon as possible, as I've realized once it's out the momentum shifts in my favour, for it provides the muscle the rest of the deck lacks. If you haven't noticed, Chain Repairer is also a Warrior, so it makes him a valid RoTA target. --Gadjiltron 12:09, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
  • I still think tat the ROTA targets and captain targets are preety little. Crystal88884 12:26, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

And suddenly, the deck became a whole lot stronger knowing that Chain Coil's boosts are permanent whilst the monster remains face-up on the field. Whee. --Gadjiltron 11:11, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Several months later, and I look back upon this deck and tweak it to suit the new list, plus a few modifications. These include additions of Book of Eclipse, with an expansion in the Extra Deck to avoid excess field-clogging. Any comments on how it can be improved? --Gadjiltron 12:32, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
