Forum:Control of a card

I've been wondering for a while now...what does control really means? I've always thought that the sentence "If this card you control is sent to the Graveyard" means that the card needs to go from the field to the graveyard, am i right? it isn't the same as going from the hand to the graveyard? (i think not cause im not actually controlling the card, i just have ownership over it but im not sure).

Thanks --Lance E. Phoenix (talkcontribs) 03:54, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

The page on "Control" pretty much sums it up.
In the case of Darksoul, neither player gets to search. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 04:00, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

when a card you control is required to be sent to the grave then it means that the card must be sent from your side on the field to the graveyard. -dest- (talkcontribs) 04:00, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

"Control" mean that card you used is still belong to you, ever if you played it. For explain, if your "Grizzly Mother" is taken by your opponent's, or under certain task - swap from yourself, then you killed it with your stronger monster, she will be put in your Graveyard no matter what. Other reason when my buddy tried to take away my "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole" away from me when he swapped his monster with my little rock, and when it is bounced to our hand, it still going to original owner's hand due to the original controller. The only way to take that monster away, is to using "Exchange". --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 04:10, January 8, 2011 (UTC)
