If my opponent attacks my face down Cyber Valley, can I activate it's first effect?
face down cards can't activate their effects except if it is stated in the cards text (Ancient Lamp, Big Shield Gardna) -dest- 01:17, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, but the card must be flipped face up since it is being attacked. So I was wondering if I could then activate the first effect of Cyber Valley since it says "when this card is selected as an attack target by opponent's monster, you can remove this card from play to draw 1 card and end the battle phase"
When the face-down Cyber Valley is attacked, it is flipped face-up during substep 2 of the Damage Step. You must activate the first effect of Cyber Valley "When this card is selected as an attack target by an opponent's monster". That happens before the Damage Step. So, if it is flipped face-up by battle, you can't activate that effect. See Breakdown of the Battle Phase.--HHTurtle 07:15, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

The "Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed." effect of Dark Resonator is a Continuous Monster Effect. It is continuously applied as long as it is face-up on the field. After it is flipped face-up by battle, the effect is instantly applied.--HHTurtle 13:54, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
