Hi. I'm just wondering about this card. My brother is so ignorant; he thinks both monsters have to have the same attack for DD Assailant's effect to activate.

Anyways, that is totally wrong right? D.D. Assailant and a monster attacking it don't have to have the same attack.

Here's what caught this discussion. ...destroyed as a result of battle with your opponent's monster..." — This unsigned comment was made by Mikeyisfh (talkcontribs) 04:55, 9 September 2008

Yeah

D.D. Assailant's effect states that when it's destroyed by battle with an opponent's monster, they're both removed. This means it's attack can be equal to Assailant's or higher. Pokemonrulez

hey, does that also include if DD assailant in defense mode? — This unsigned comment was made by 24.101.105.249 (talkcontribs) 03:37, 3 June 2009

Yes. All "D.D. Assailant" needs is to be destroyed by battle. It doesn't matter what Battle Position he is in.

D.D. Assailant

What about in face-down defense position, since shes not face up does her effect still work?

Yes, her effect is still triggered while being face down, and pls sign your posts with four tildes ~~~~.--Hide Head Turtle 01:51, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

When this card is destroyed by battle with an opponent's monster, remove from play that monster and this card.<<< with an opponent's monster doesn't make any sense..i think u cannot attack assailant with your own monster???--Leonhartzz 11:25, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

???, of course you can attack your own monster.--Hide Head Turtle 13:09, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

You cannot attack your own monster with another of your monsters. You may only attack monsters on your opponent's side of the field. The only way someone was able to attack their own monster was by the opponent using the trap card "Magical Arm Shield", however it has been changed to taking control of one of your monsters to their side of the field for the Battle Phase.--LordGeovanni 18:27, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I was wrong. The card I was thinking of is Ancient Lamp. Also the Ruling on its page is still the same. If D.D. Assailant attacked my face-down Ancient Lamp and I redirected the attack to my opponent's Blue-Eyes White Dragon, My opponent would receive the damage (because both monsters are my opponent's) and Assailant would be destroyed. Because it wasn't destroyed by battle against "the opponent's monster" then Assailant's effect would not activate.

I believe that this is the ONLY way to have your monster attack another of your monsters. --LordGeovanni 19:50, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
