Forum:Dark Eyes Dragon

OK so this is my Dark Dragon...at times it seems like I'm trying to do to much ,but at others, It runs just perfect..So any help to make it more consistant would be a great help ...O and If the card cost of $50 please don't suggest i.e. Pot of Duality, and in the near future I hear Solemn Judgment will be in a starter deck , until then ...I do have All Dragon Sync's except Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier , and few of the Dragunity Knights I use PlagueSpread Zombie , with Iron chain dragon for ..Level eight , and /or WHite Stone with REDMD. I issue is not enough tuners, and not getting REDMD soon enough to the feild , or my hand...PLEASE HELP to Speed it up..and any suggestion would be welcomed... I want to make this as good as possible for Locals....Thank You all for at least looking

68.41.75.225 (talk) 06:43, June 2, 2011 (UTC)Sorry to tell you but real dark dragon decks don't work as well as they used to. I know since ive been playing them for 3 years now.

If you want to make it more competitive you are going to most likely need to either decide to try and turn it into a Diaster Dragon build or throw in a splash of the Dragunitys,

If you go with dragunitys the minimal cards needed would be

3 Phalanx 3 Dux 2 Varajara these three right here make easy lv8s Dragons Ravine (designed for dragunity but a overall good dragon field card)

If you decide on diaster you are going to need to diverisfy your low end monsters. Tech monsters like Blizzard dragon exploder dragon prime material dragon and phantom dragon all work great for these purposes.

Other advice I can give is that you need to ditch the King Dragun element. The fusion is a great card a a precursor to REDM but the fusion material monsters just kinda suck and pull the whole deck down. Other then that I would take a very careful look at your spells and traps. I see a few that really aren't worth their wieght. With these kinds of decks since they nearly all lack a effective inherent draw engine with Allure and D Draw both down, need to be very lean so that your pulling the cards you need rather then just some fluff.

Thanks for the feedback...and I agreee Drop one Lord of D. , and Divine Dragon Ragnarok..Which brings me down to 40 cards...I wanted to add Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lordx2...that way when I add the Solemn Counter Cards..I would be able to SS him... My traps That I would LIke would Be two Solemn warnings, and a Judgement...I like the way Anbus Works , since MY RED/Blue-eyes are normal, but will drop it ...What else should I remove in the trap spell line-up ..and should I take out any other monster, for the Van'Dalgyom's..or is 23( to include third REDMD) Monsters to many for this build.

68.41.75.225 (talk) 09:58, June 12, 2011 (UTC)I ran Van for a while but found it moderatly inconsistant. If you want to run it and are gonna be nearly pure dark I would consider running dark illusions.

OK So this is my updated Dark Dragon Deck....I wanted to keep Axe Dragonute Due to being able to run over those pesky Summon negation monsters.. With a Solid 2000atk.. . . . but this is what I got .... I really want to thank you for the suggestions...after play testing I don't like Solemn Judgment ...I have won duels with 50 LP...so paying half just isn't my thing.......and My urge to keep it dark dragon based means No to the Dragunitys..but maybe in a Dark Simorgh (character) Deck...thank you all again
