If you watched any of the animes of yugioh then if someone attacks a monster and you somehow destroy it before the attack goes through you don't get to attack again. Now I know the anime is different than a real duel but my question is lets say your opponent attacks your monster and you activate destruct potion to gain life points of the monster he was attacking. does he get to change his attack target or did you just stop that one monster from hurting you? You missed
the destruction effect. Since the monster is destroyed the attack is stopped. OMG! You did it 03:28, March 6, 2010 (UTC)
- If the attack target is removed from the field, then a Replay occurs. Your opponent can select a new attack target. The attack doesn't "stop".
- The anime is a horrible source for rulings. Remember, they play Duel Monsters, and we play Yu-Gi-Oh!. The two are different games.
