I want to make the following Gladiator Beast Deck(please suggest amends):

Extra Deck(9):

2 Heraklinos

2 Gyzarus

1 Elemental Hero Grand Neos

1 Stardust Dragon

1 Red Dragon Archfiend

1 Colossal Fighter

1 Goyo Guardian

Nice Glad deck...

I don't have many amends, but here they are:

-1 Gladiator Beast Secutor

-1 Bottomless Trap Hole

+2 Cold Wave/Bait Doll

You'll hardly ever pull off Secutor, and when you do, you will probably be winning. Cold Wave locks up your opponents back row for a while, and Bait Doll forces that set Solemn Judgment to negate it. Thats all. Blue-Eyes White Boy 17:31, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Looks good. Maybe replace Stratos with another Thunderking. Poque 11:27, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

How do you do that

I looked at all your monsters. You have Elemental Hero Grand Neos in your extra deck, but you don't have Elemental Hero Neos with it. How do you fusion summon Elemental Hero Grand Neos, when you only have the material monster Neo Spacian Grand Mole.

grand neos

grand neos is in my deck so I can copy neo-spacian grand mole with prisma if I ever need to. Salvamala 21:56, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

I would reccomend buying/trading for two Rescue Cat now. They will be great with Gladiator Beast Samnite. The price will shoot up as soon as the pros get their hands on them. Trust me. Blue-Eyes White Boy 23:16, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Anti-Spell Fragrance

Should I replace both of my Cold Wave for Anti-Spell Fragrance? Also I was thinking of adding a Cyber Dragon for a beatstick what should I replace it with? --Salvamala 18:42, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Well, if you find yourself with no monsters on a regular basis, add Cyber Dragon. But if thats the case, you are playing your cards the wrong way. No on Cydra.

The same for Anti-Spell Fragrance, only because you already have too many traps. Too many traps will slow your deck down and destroy your opening draw. SPELLS = SPEED. Thats my slogan; Unless your going for stun, but in that case, you need some major changes to your deck. Finally, heres my edits:

-1 Waboku (only one is needed, but you can try 2)

-1 Transmigration Prophecy (I see your reasons, but no)

+1 Brain Control (this, my friend, wins games)

+1 Compulsory Evacuation Device (all for synchro hate)

Lastly, I have a few questions for you. I've never only used one RotA and Proving Ground. How fast do you get out Stratos with one RotA? How well are you on the defensive? I'd also like to congratulate you for being one of the few sane people who run Crows over Retiari. Can your try to get one more D. Prison?

Firstly, retiary is much better because he can be re-used, plus he has a high attack for a level (useful against gravity bind or limit area B). Like someone else said up there ^ Brain control is good, it would also give you a good reason for your goyo/stardust. I would advise 3 War chariots, i couldn't live without having 3 to be honest, yes it may be re-used with equest's effect but you really need to draw at least 1. -1 Waboku or 2 if you like and have 3 shrinks, shrink > Waboku because they die. +1 Equest you really do need 2 equests, with his effect (incase you didn't know) is very good for gaining hand advantage, think of it this way, you have 1 card in hand and your opponent has a spirit reaper and 2 S/T's, you have 3 gladiator beasts on the field, they all attack a defense position spirit reaper, you then tag for laquari, equest, and equest, you can now get a war chariot back, and another gladiator beast card, you now have enough cards in hand to deal with those facedowns and something that stops monster effects making heraklinos almost invincible.

  • On the debate of Crow vs. Retiari, whoever argues the longest wins the debate. In my experience, Crow has served me better because his effect activates during either turn, hes more reliable, and uses less resources. Retiari requires a tag out or Test Tiger, hes embarrassing to top deck, and is exteremly slow. He can't even stop Malicious. And whatever he can do, Crow can do better. Its as simple as that.
  • On the debate of 2 Equestes; I love his effect, but I hate drawing him. Thats why noones runs 2 Murmillos.
  • I can't argue with the 3 Shrinks/Chariots, only because I do it myself! I'm a little more of a defensive duelist.
  • By the way, Spitfire22, Waboku has been errata'd. You take no damage, and your monsters aren't destroyed.

Thats all, and no offense Spitfire. Blue-Eyes White Boy 23:34, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Replacements

Currently this is the deck i have except solemns and prismas (proxy them). I want to put in brain control and another chariot. I was thinking of removing trap dustshoot and a waboku. any opinions? --Salvamala 18:44, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

  • If you want to max out War Chariot and add a Brain Control, I would take out one Waboku and a Cyber Dragon, or both of the Wabokus. Never take out Trap Dustshoot, it can be your greatest asset. BEWK 18:59, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

You make me Sickutor... get it?

It seems I can't stop you from adding Secutor, but I can spam you with reasons NOT to use him, or it. Heres only a few:

  • Way freaking slow
  • Near impossible to pull off effect
  • If you happen to activate it, you'll already be winning
  • Dead draw, and one of the worst
  • Horrible to top-deck
  • He looks funny (not really a reason, just reasoning)

You friends might be telling you to put him in, but he deserves to be tossed in with his buddies, Torax and pals. I'm a seasoned (its quite a wierd phrase) Gladiator duelist, and he doesn't fit in with the elite. I highly don't recomend him, or it. BEWK 04:09, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Secutor

I used to not run secutor because i thought he was too much of a draw back but he is worth the risk. personally i didn't want to run him until i finally started running him.

  • I'd trade 2 Wabokus for another Mirror Wall and a Smashing Ground or Fissure. BEWK 18:38, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

gladiators to the max

only thing wrong is grand neos you do not have neos to go with it.take it out secutor and add 1 more laquari

  • Actually, Grand Neos is for sending Grand Mole to the grave with the help of Prisma. And, by the way, you can sign your posts with four consecutive ~. --bewk 16:16, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
