Forum:Gladiator Beasts for a friend

My roommate wants to streamline his pure GB deck, so I built this for him. I'm not exactly sure how well it'll work, but any suggestions would be appreciated. Remember, this is pure GB, so no Prisma/AHL; Tigerless GB suggestions are acceptable, as it's a variant I suggested he try, but as long as you keep it pure GB as much as possible. Thanks. Take out both "GB Battle Archfiend Shield" and add two "Book of Moon". You could also use "Waboku" (or "Defensive Tactics" if you realy wanna a pure GB Deck). --Missign0 (talk • contribs) 18:08, September 25, 2012 (UTC)

Book of Moon is still limited at 1, so I can't add two of them. I've also been experiencing that BoM isn't that great of a card in today's metagame, so I don't think I'm going to add it into this deck. Vorpal Storm Pony (talk • contribs) 18:16, September 25, 2012 (UTC)

Oh yeah, it's Limited, my mistake. But add one anyways, since it can protect your monsters against some effects and attacks, and allows you to flip face-down a monster with either high ATK, so you can attack it and destroy it (or at least tag your GB), or a powerful effect. Even if you're not going to use it, don't use the Shields, in today's metagame Equip Spells are still bad. --Missign0 (talk • contribs) 18:39, September 25, 2012 (UTC)

As I said, I've not seen much use out of BoM in any deck I've made, thus far, even in the ones I do put it in, and my friend never uses it, so I don't think he'd appreciate me slipping one in. He's already questioning my suggestion of putting in a couple Trap Stuns (he thinks that he needs more long-lasting Trap negation, for some reason). I am thinking of getting rid of the Mirror Force and one of the Respites for a couple of Defensive Tactics, though. Also, although my friend wants to play with 2 Secutors, I think 1 would work better and not be as dead of draw for him, but I dunno what to replace it with. Any suggestions?
