If i have goyo and i attack old vindictive magician, it tries to kill me but i activate divine wrath. My opponent says i have to negate goyo sinces thats chain link 2 : old vindictive chain link 1 goyo take old vindictive chain link 2 and divine wrath chain link 3. Is this right? when old magican activates goyos effect ddon't activate yet. Magican activates still on the field, short before it is sent to the grave. Goyos effect activate after magican is sent to the grave, so you can negate magicans effect. -dest- 16:16, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
- See Breakdown of the Battle Phase for more info. "Old Vindictive Magician"'s effect activates in Sub-Step 6 (using the TCG chart), and "Goyo Guardian"'s effect activates much later, in Sub-Step 7.
- Also, note that "Old Vindictive Magician" is considered to be destroyed by "Divine Wrath", so "Goyo Guardian" can't Summon it.
