Forum:Help Making A Gaia Deck

Hi! I'm not to great at making decks just yet, but I wanted to a make a deck centered around Spiral Spear Strike becuase it might be fun and Gaia the Fierce Knight/Swift is one of my favorite monsters. Any suggestions will help, and even though I cant tell you not too, I won't pay much attention if you just wanna bash my deck. sorry I don't wanna ruin my fun by making another lightsworn deck (though they are cool)

I don't have quite all the cards, just most of them (namely 2 more swift gaias, and spiral spear strikes) but any help would be apprecieated. Id be willing to change everything except the focus,...which is all the gaia monsters and spiral spear.

I would recommend some Marauding Captains. Either to lock your opponents attacks, swarm for tributes, or combine their effect with Comrade for an instant Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth. Might want to replace a Comrade with Tune Warrior. You loose the boost, but he's stronger(1600 ATK) and the same level. Probably put in a couple Giant Rats. The couple of decks I've had Swift Gaias only had one, and even then I rarely got his effect off. So you might want Fires of Doomsday or Double Coston to tribute for him more easily, or double summon to get rid of the monsters in your hand and summon out Swift Gaia. Maybe more discarding cards, such as Tribute to the Doomed or Raigeki break so you can lower your hand count and ruin your opponent's field advantage. And a last idea is to use No Entry! or Zero Gravity to put your opponent in defense and make good use of Spiral Spear Strike.

I added most of the Cards you suggested, because they all made sense, lol. I know I need help deck-making and Thanks for your help!

I think if I can figure out the last 6 cards in the extra deck I should be fine. and any new suggestions are welcome.

another suggestion

i would consider adding some equip magic cards (or equip trap cards). Kunai with Chain would be a great addition (Switch to defence, +500, and piercing if you have spiral spears. can't get better than that). um.. not quite sure what other equip cards could help though. Field spell cards such as Gaia Power could help too since most of your monsters are earth. Randomhouse101 03:34, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Now that I have added the links here is what I suggest

First off let me be the first to tell you, a deck based around Gaia is a pretty cool deck, I have never even thought of that. And with the multiple versions of Gaia, it is even a better deck. Sangan is a cool card, but if you put in a The Trojan Horse instead of that it will help you get out your regular gaia's pretty good. maybe add another Earth Effigy will also help out. You should definately add some new Warrior Support Cards ie other Equip Items such as Lightning Blade and the like since you are basing your deck on warriors. You should also add a Gaia Power since like stated previously you mainly have earth monsters. Earth Effigy is good as long as it stays on the field if you can't keep it on the field you can't use it's effect. Maybe some more search cards for monsters. I don't know, but I think it is a cool idea.
