Forum:Help with deck!!!

I have been playing yu-gi-oh! for a couple of years now but I've never gotten serious about it. However recently I decided that I wanted to delve further in. I am entering my first tournament in a couple of weeks and am facing a huge problem. I don't have a deck. I have lots of cards from basically every series. I definitely have more old cards than new, though. If you could please help me that would be great. I would love a deck that would work with The Winged Dragon of Ra (I got the new legalized version in Shonen Jump)or basically anything else. Please help!!! and also please make most of the cards common, so there is a greater chance that I will have them. Well, if you could grab 2-3x Structure Deck 18: Machiners Command, we could make you a fairly competitive deck out of that, Ra by itself is fairly hard to use, for little gain, but if you really want to, I made this:

I suppose Ra can go, then... I don't have the time to get the deck (it's only available online, right?) before this tournament. I will consider it for others, though :)Sorry I don't mean to shoot down your ideas, but do you have any others?

You can buy Structure Deck 18: Machiners Command in most hobby stores, possibly even the tournament you're going to, you could verify if they'll have it, arrive early with whatever extras, & just go with it from there, if that's fesible?-Resk (Talk) 23:11, March 15, 2011 (UTC)

That sounds like a good deck. I don't have snipe hunters, though. Would United We Stand be a good addition to this deck? Also, would adding the mokey mokeys work?

I don't like equip cards :3, and I can't really see how the mokeys would help, as for Snipe Hunter, you could swap it for a Green Baboon & a L-Vortex i think,-Resk (Talk) 19:59, March 18, 2011 (UTC)

I was thinking that the mokey mokeys and ojamas would work well together because of human wave tactics and order to smash. And since it's a fusion deck I thought the mokey mokeys would be appropriate. Would mokey mokey smackdown work as well? Also: I'm thinking along the lines of an Ojama OTK deck, which is why i was thinking about adding 3 copies of United We Stand. haha i hate equips too, but it seems the best way to complete the OTK.

I was originally going to include solidarity, but I tried the build out with 3 snipe hunters like you suggested and it is perfect. The combo of Snipe Hunter and Ojamagic is too good to pass up. Especially since you can then summon ojama king and completely lock down your opponent's field with ground collapse.
