That's right - it's a prehistoric version of the Hopeless Dragon deck! This deck exchanges some summoning power for brute force!

Here's the breakdown. Super-Ancient Dinobeast is the key card here, as it rewards me with an extra card for each Dino special summoned. Ultimate Tyranno and Super Conductor Tyranno are each huge Dinos. Destroyersaurus is a field searcher and a respectable monster to boot. Miracle Jurassic Egg is a great card for this deck, because it should be able to quickly get enough counters to bring out a decent monster. Mask of Darkness helps recycle one trap in particular. Dasher allows me to summon big Dinos right off the bat, when I draw them. Finally, Hardened Armed Dragon should quickly be able to get special summoned, and its discard effect gives 2 more counters to Egg. Plus, having a nigh-invincible 3000-ATK or more monster is pretty sweet. Oh yeah, and Sangan searches out Egg, Mask, and Dragon.

For spells, I've got 2 of the super-powered Jurassic World. Trade-In works with the 7 level-8 monsters in the deck. Monster Reborn is a fairly basic way to summon a monster from the graveyard. Giant Trunade helps clear the field without destroying some of my key cards. Big Evolution Pill is something that nothing else has, except possibly Ancient Gears to a lesser degree; the ability to normal summon high-level monsters easily. Allure of Darkness is draw power. Finally, Card of Safe Return allows me to double the effect of Dinobeast.

Now for the traps, which include the key card; Fossil Excavation! It turns into a slightly worse Call of the Haunted for Dinos, and combos with most of the deck. Regain the card you just discarded or better with Dinobeast and Card of Safe Return; discard a Dino to load Miracle Jurassic Egg with counters; retrieve Excavation with Mask of Darkness; discard Dasher to set up for a huge summon; or special summon the monster you discarded with Monster Reborn or another Excavation. It's the focal point of the deck. Admittedly, it does negate the effect of the monster summoned, but it still gives you a 3000 ATK monster or better. Plus, it can summon the monster discarded. Anyways, moving on...

Torrential Tribute is a good card, but I never put it in a deck unless it really fits because of the extreme dangers associated with its use. In this case it does fit, because it loads the graveyard nicely. Raigeki Break is basic removal, loads the graveyard, and puts counters on Miracle Jurassic Egg. Hunting Instinct is another card unique to Dinos, as the ability to just match or exceed your opponent's special summon can't be found anywhere else. The only equivalents are Phantom Dragon (as it's the equivalent of Ground Collapsing your own field, I don't like to use it), A Rival Appears (which doesn't give you as many options) and Cyber Dinosaur (which can't deal with big swarms from the grave/RFG zone, only from the hand). Finally, Shift is a supremely overlooked card, and I think it should be in almost any deck that gets out many monsters with the help of one key monster. In this case, the important monster is Dinobeast, which basically replenishes my hand from the plethora of discard costs. Furthermore, Shift's scope is tremendous; in fact, it's Solemn Judgment-esque. In short, a great card. Oh yeah, there's Dark Bribe too.

Tell me what you think of this concept deck. Runer5h 16:35, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

What, no comments? Runer5h 17:26, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Fine, here's a change of my own... well, sort of. I'm taking out Torrential Tribute and a Raigeki Break for two Proof of Powerlessness. Simply because that card is awesome. Runer5h 19:18, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Why? Shift switches almost everything that targets, which can be a real asset, and Proof of Powerlessness can obliterate hordes of monsters on a whim. Runer5h 19:16, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
Shift, if you think about it, is quite a good card. Lets say you have Miracle Jurassic Egg in attack position for some reason or another and Super-Ancient Dinobeast also in attack position and your opponent, obviously, attacks Miracle Egg you activate Shift and go hahaha you've gone and taken a tone of damage and lost a useful monster. Proof of Powerlessness is brilliant if you have Dinobeast and your opponent manages to summon a powerful card like Armed Dragon LV5 and equip it with United We Stand and attack one the best ways to protect yourself is with Proof of Powerlessness, also since you used it during your opponents turn you bypass it's negative effect since you can't attack anyway. Now can you see any reason why those cards are pointless? --Trivi-AM 17:10, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Kuriboh is also very good because when your opponent attacks you, you can discard it to negate any battle damage. The point is, there are better alternatives for those cards. The Horror'Speak if you dare 17:17, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Alright, I'll take Horror's word for it. Runer5h 19:32, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
