Forum:Infinite Life Points. Who wins?

Hello judges:

An old combo, which is combined with Dark Magician of Chaos, Mass Driver, Dimension Fusion and Spell Economics, is now applied with a little twist. (Let's just assume these cards are legal PLEASE!) I changed Mass Driver to Spell Absorption. This way, a player can gain infinite life points.

Here is the scenario. I keep repeating this combo over and over. Since it is a productive loop because I am gaining life points, there is no rules that stop me from doing this. So here comes the question. I can either:

(1) keep doing this combo and stall for time, then apply the end of match procedure.

(2) Keep playing assuming I have infinite life points and my opponent agree not to kill me by reducing my life points to zero. The match then ends when my opponent lose 8000 LP or either of us deck out.

(3) Shake my opponent's hand and tell him that he has lost.

I believe there are infinite loops that can help gain infinite LP, but I cannot think of it right now. So, judges, please help me out. Thank you very much. Metagame.com

  • With that combo you should gain as many LP as you want. It's not a loop because you can pause it any time you want. An infinite loop cannot be stopped. You cannot gain infinite LP because you cannot use the trick infinite times :). That should be great if half of the cards were not banned. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 08:45, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
  • According to official policy, you cannot repeat a loop an infinite amount of times - you have to designate how many times you wish to repeat the loop and that's it. For instance, if you'd like to repeat the combo until you have gained 100,000,000 LP, you can state you wish to repeat the loop 200,000 times. That is possible. Then, it is common sense that (unless if your opponent has a Chimeratech Overdragon with epic stats) your opponent can't deplete your LP, so either you deplete his LP or the first one to deck out loses. --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 11:43, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

May I ask, what are you using to destroy DMOC?
