Hey, I just have a ruling question about Malefic Truth Dragon. I was on a forum earlier, and there was a debate going on about whether or not Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest can be special summoned by his own effect when a Beast monster is destroyed by battle, since it's during the damage step. I went and looked at his rulings page, but there was an "outdated rulings" warning so I don't know if it's correct. Both Baboon and Truth Dragon activate by summoning themselves when the same condition is met (but for a different kind of monster), so I'd assume the same ruling applies for both. Can Malefic Truth Dragon special summon itself when a Malefic monster is destroyed by battle, or is it only when it's by a card effect? Thanks in advance. Ugh sorry, right after posting I looked again and Truth says it happens when a Malefic is destroyed by battle or by an effect, while Baboon just says if a Beast is destroyed. So I guess that means Truth can do it, sorry about the useless topic lol. SuperKirbyFan (talk • contribs) 04:57, February 8, 2011 (UTC)
- Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest's effect won't work if the monster is destroyed by battle. There was a new ruling which prevents it from activating in the damage step. [1].
- and, yea, you worked out Malefic Truth Dragon. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:00, February 8, 2011 (UTC)
