Forum:My Pure Psychic Deck

I think my deck has too many cards in it. So, I'm running it by the general public to ask what cards to take out.

This is a deck that ONLY uses Psychic-type cards. And, for the life of me, I can't get any Psychic Synchros out of any packs. All of these cards came from packs; that's the only way I get cards. So I've had to plan around it. Obviously, this deck has a control theme. I want to keep that. It fits with these cards surprisingly well.

A note on Future Visions: I just have it because I like it. I found it in a pack, and I like it because it's very nice looking and it has a useful stalling effect. And it sort of fits with the whole Psychic motif. So, I'm not taking it out. It's sort of a Billy card, if you will, for me.

Also, I used to use more Destructotrons, but I would get doubles in my hand, and it destroys itself if there are no other Psychics on the field, so having more than one in your hand is not good.

So, what can I do to thin out this deck? Tocp0003 (talkcontribs) 21:39, July 20, 2010 (UTC)

Fare thee well, Psychic.

Spell Cards to Lose: Dian Keto the Cure Master, Shien's Spy, Tribute to the Doomed, My Body as a Shield, and Nightmare Steelcage.

Trap Cards to Lose: Rivalry of Warlords (while it can be good, it's situational. Most people play archtypes. Even if they don't, it can't get rid of a single powerful monster at all. It's just not good enough) Solemn Wishes, Negate Attack, and Rainbow Life. Rainbow Life shouldn't apply to costs so you can't activate and spam the psychic effects and gain those life points. If you could though, it'd be worth playing.

Monster Cards to Lose: Power Injector. Tell me how often this card works well, because I can bet it's not often. It doesn't even apply to monsters that come out after you activate it, so it's very slow. I would also take out at least one Telekinetic Shocker. He can't protect anything when he is also a target of the destruction, so saving yourself against Torrential Tribute, Mirror Force (unless he's in defense mode, which you wouldn't want), or Black Rose Dragon, or any of those pesky things. Replace him with a useful trap card.

All of the other monsters are decent in their own way. You have to throw out some, though. I'd take out a couple of your copies of cards. And man, where are the Pandaborgs? You only have one and you need more.

You need way better magic/trap support, and you know this. Good luck with that, and look into Ebay or something to get some better cards. It's not that expensive, if anything it's cheaper than just getting a ton of packs. NecrofearNorleras (talkcontribs) 00:01, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

My friend runs a pure psychic deck... What you should do is dedicate the deck to a certain style whether it be trying to pull off an otk or what I would recommend is spamming with brain research lab and then psynchroing for the big whammi psychic synchros like hyper psychic blaster 66.31.102.174 (talk) 07:30, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
