Forum:Nagating spell card

What happen if I negate the effect of face-up spell card(s) that IS NOT a continuous spell card, such as swords of revealing light, lets say, with Divine Fowl King Alector? Will it still remain face up on the field or be sent to graveyard? I think the effect "this card remains face up on the field for 3 turns" is negated so it will be sent to the graveyard, right? What about swords of concealing light if I negate its effect in the turn that it should be destroyed? Will it remain meaning-less on the field for the rest of the dual or it still has the same effect? 202.28.248.138 (talk) 13:27, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

If you check Card Rulings:Swords of Revealing Light, you would have seen: "If "Imperial Order" is active on the field you can still activate "Swords of Revealing Light" and it will maintain its turn count, but it will NOT flip monsters face-up or prevent the opponent from attacking. If "Imperial Order" is destroyed after "Swords of Revealing Light" has been on the field for two of your opponent’s turns, it will only prevent your opponent from attacking for one turn and then be destroyed."
