so i just got in a big argument about something, if my opponent kills my necro gardna with Goyo can i chain gradnas effect after it is sent to the grave to remove it, so goyo wont special summon it. more simply does goyos effect activate in the damage step? and finally can someone please add the answer to the ruling pages since i looked there and was disapointed to find nothing.--99.97.68.167 05:59, February 8, 2010 (UTC)

On Rulings pages you will only find official rulings that Konami has given. If Konami hasn't given out a ruling regarding a situation, it won't be found there. Sorry to disappoint.
As for "Necro Gardna", it's effect can only be activated at attack declaration. "Goyo Guardian" activates during sub-step 7 of the Damage Step. In short, "Necro Gardna" cannot negate "Goyo Guardian" because it is not proper timing for the effect. I recommend you see: Breakdown of the Battle Phase DemonGodAsura 06:06, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
(Minor correction) You can activate the effect outside of attack declaration, in fact, "you can activate this card's effect at any time during your opponent's turn, any time before the end of their Battle Phase." However, you cannot use the effect before Goyo because Necro Gardna "cannot be activated during the Damage Step." Falzar FZ 06:12, February 8, 2010 (UTC)

i think you misunderstand me, i dont want to use gardna to negate goyo's attack i want to remove it after it is destroyed to negate the next attack and to stop goyo from summoning it. since goyo activates during the damge step then i assume i cant use gardna like above said, please correct me if i am wrong. as for the ruling page i would suggest adding things like when goyo's effect activates since that would have helped me solve this problem, also perhaps a section of unofficial but rationally figured rulings since although not usable in a tournament they would help friendly duels.

That part now in bold. Falzar FZ 06:14, February 8, 2010 (UTC)

thx for the help

Also, for the Rulings pages, feel free to mention things on the Talk Page, but not the actual Ruling Page. We literally only allow official rulings there. It's partly for the integrity of the site, and to keep correct rulings. DemonGodAsura 06:42, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
