Forum:New Tour Guide engine?

If the recent list is true, the engine utilizing Tour Guide From the Underworld will get hit. I was thinking about any ways to supplement this deck. I automatically assume that Tour Bus from the Underworld will see more play in the engine, but I was wondering what other methods you guys can think of to make the engine the powerhouse it was before the list. • The list is true, for one. As for what people are using to bolster Tour Guide's effect, "Night Assailant" is the most popular option ATM. "Dark Mimic LV3" has received some consideration too, but isn't as good as Assailant if you end up drawing it. Tour Bus From the Underworld isn't a good option, because it's pretty much completely useless if you draw it outside of Tour Guide Special Summons. The only time it saw use was people running it in Wind-Ups to elongate the loop, but even then, it was inconsistent. The final option, which is also popular, is to not run anything extra and use TGU like a once-per-game R3 generator by going into the 2nd TGU, or the Sangan if you end up drawing both (which has happened to me a few times already and sucks).--YamiWheeler (talk • contribs) 03:46, August 19, 2012 (UTC)

• It really isn't. Gachi is good, but nowhere near as good as Zenmaines. And Rank 3 is about more than just Zenmaines: Leviair, Leviathan Dragon, Acid Golem, Temtempo and Brilliant are all examples of options Rank 2 can't offer.--YamiWheeler (talk • contribs) 12:47, August 19, 2012 (UTC)

That's true, Joey - but Zenmaines can be bad if he's only card you control at the end of the turn it was used (in case, the only card on the field currently) - Gachi can get away with just a detach. --iFredCat 13:20, August 19, 2012 (UTC)

Gachi is similar to Zenmaines in the regard that it can't be destroyed and makes your opponent waste a card, but Zenmaines offers that and a semi-powerful 1500 ATK body. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 13:46, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
