Forum:Powersink Stone can help Koa'ki Meirus?

From Yugipedia

I have been thinking: what if I have Powersink Stone active on the field with two counters on it and a card like Koa'ki Meiru Valafar, which has the effect that tells you to discard an Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru during the End Phase? Since the Powersink Stone has two counters on it, it negates the effects of all monsters on the field, including Valafar's. However, Powersink Stone's counters are removed during the End Phase, and Valafar's effect of discarding an Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru activates in the same Phase. What I want to know is, is it possible to avoid your Koa'ki Meirus' effect of discarding an Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru with Powersink Stone? Help would be much appreciated.

That is a Maintenance cost, not an effect.
Read Maintenance cost.

Thank you. I thought I have found a way to make Koa'ki Meirus a bit more useful, but there seemed to be a bit of fail on my part. But if that worked, maybe then it would be already on the Koa'ki Meiru page, so... yeah. Thanks again. --Octocactus (talkcontribs) 01:47, January 9, 2013 (UTC)

Always keep that monster type in your hand so you don't have to revive Iron Core each turn, except for certain and boss Koa'ki Meiru (because they lacked that line). --iFredCat 01:50, January 9, 2013 (UTC)
