Forum:Rate My Keepers?

So my goal with this deck is really to just stomp on my opponent's monsters and keep them out of the graveyard. The win condition has proved to be attacking with monsters like Assailant, Descendant, and Chief for game. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Oh, and I know that there isn't a Solemn Judgment in the deck; I have no way of recovering life points, so I want to try and avoid cards with a significant cost.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve the deck? When I've been playing with the deck, the one thing that I have noticed is that I don't use Visionary much at all, so I'm open to taking one or both out if there is something better that could be put in. i m8 i play this deck as fun but i would talk out Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier and add a other Gravekeeper's Commandant add better traps and - one setel

I don't use Commandant for attack power, so I'm not sure that I want to run 3 of them, because him would turn into a dead draw, especially if Necrovalley is already active when I draw him. And what "better traps" should I put in? "Better" could mean anything. Jon Kovacs (talkcontribs) 21:01, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

That might be more consistant, I suggest putting the Solemn back in, as while you don't recover lp, there is something to be said for Total Negation (especially, when you only need 4 attacks to win),

Spear soldier is a bit iffy, as unlike the others, it doesn't give control, and Malefic is up to opinion, but what do you think of that?

I think that the decklist you made looks really good, but I don't end up using Visionary when I duel, because it ends taking up a summon that I could use for getting Assailant, Descendant, or Chief out. What do you think that I should do to remove them from my deck? I was thinking that for at least one, I could put in a third Chief. Do you know any ways to get out Spellcasters from the deck, like Magician's Circle, but without needing an attack to play it? Jon Kovacs (talkcontribs) 21:18, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

Well, the usual trick for for... wait, did I put visionary in? oops, i was thinking decendent... it's really not worth the effort summoning XD, updated the list I listed, but yes, the only way for you to get the out the deck would be: Mystic Tomato, Magician's Circle, & Gravekeeper's Spy, and out of them, only tomatoe & spy are fesible, but I'll let you decide on tomato or not (2 if you do :p)-Resk (talkcontribs) 21:32, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

How does this look? I took out Solemn Judgement due to cost and unavailability (I'll put it in if I can get one). Why is it that having three Gravekeeper's Commandants is so important? I really don't understand why three would be needed.... And I'm sorry about how I worded my response before...Jon Kovacs (talkcontribs) 22:24, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

Hmm~? nothing was wrong with your last response, it was polite & to the point, I just messed up my first list re-do :p,

3 Commandant is important, as it means:

a) 6 cards give you Necrovalley in the first turn, which lets you set up,

b) it's 2100 with necrovally, so it can get over things with 2000, without having to have assailent, as well as going even vs Cyber Dragon,

c) if you have Royal Tribute in hand, you can just toss it so you lose less card advantage,

d) deck thining,

As for the list, It's looking good, though I still dislike chief :p, but that's personal opinion,-Resk (talkcontribs) 14:24, December 12, 2010 (UTC)

I see what you mean about Commandant. I'm going to test out the deck this week, and I'll see how it goes with the Chiefs.. Thanks for the advice! Jon Kovacs (talkcontribs) 22:25, December 12, 2010 (UTC)
