The card list for Starstrike Blast was just announced, and look what we have here! It's a support card for the Skull Servants! Quite a find. With this new card, Skull Servant decks should be even more fun to play!

OK, here's the rundown. King of the Skull Servants is obviously the key card here, with its ability to get massive ATK strength. Skull Servant is in for the obvious reason - as fodder for the King. The Lady in Wight is a decent staller, can protect my King of the Skull Servants, and provide a boost as well. Wightmare is a very interesting card. It is also treated as Skull Servant while in the graveyard, and it has an additional effect - I can discard it to either return a Skull Servant/King of the Skull Servants from my RFG zone to my graveyard, or special summon a Lady in Wight or King from my RFG zone! It's great - I can boost an on-field King's ATK by 2000 with the first effect, and get a new one (with 1000 more ATK) with the second effect.

Zombie Master is another good card. It's got high ATK, helping in a good beatdown. And it can revive my Zombies from the graveyard. Pyramid Turtle searches basically most of the deck - every Zombie except The Lady in Wight, in fact. Goblin Zombie searches a lot of cards too. Shutendoji is easily searchable and gives me easy draw power at the easily-refillable cost of 2 Zombies in the graveyard - I can use Wightmare to refill that. It can also allow retrieval of Zombies by putting them on my deck. Finally, Mezuki is easy revival and a staple for Zombies.

The first spell, Creature Swap, is phenomenal in this deck. I could give my opponent a really weak monster like Skull Servant, certainly... but what happens if I swipe over my umpteen-thousand ATK King of the Skull Servants? Unless my opponent ALSO uses Skull Servants, its ATK will be ZERO. So I can destroy it with whatever my opponent has and then special summon it with its own effect. This is also useful with Pyramid Turtle and Goblin Zombie. Veil of Darkness is quick and efficient at dumping of cards into the graveyard, so it can easily power up the King. Dark Eruption returns Wightmare for another go at its effect, or The Lady in Wight to set as a blocker. Allure of Darkness is good draw power. Heavy Storm, MST, and Trunade all get rid of spells and traps that could screw me up. One for One summons a King from my deck while dumping another card in my hand as a boost. Finally, Burial From a Different Dimension refills my graveyard after all that removal.

The traps are fairly obvious. Bottomless Trap Hole gets rid of my opponent's monsters. Starlight Road protects my Veils and counters Mirror Force. Solemn Judgment is a good negater. Phoenix Wing Wind Blast discards a card and gets rid of a threat. Finally, Threatening Roar blocks swarms of attackers, and it's great as a counter to Cold Wave and Mist Wurm.

Tell me what you think of this concept deck. Runer5h (talkcontribs) 20:24, July 14, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

i love this deck! have you thought of including Il Blud for recycling power and zombie world for the use of reviving opponent's monsters with zombie master? just thoughts but the deck is great anyway--Bwinggale (talkcontribs) 21:02, July 14, 2010 (UTC)

It seems incredibly good, but why do you have Chimeratech Fortress Dragon? Drew-Gi-Oh! (talkcontribs) 21:18, July 14, 2010 (UTC)

A saftey precaution. That's a card that you can fit into almost any deck, especially with Machinas being popular these days, the throw out a cyber dragon and you've got yourself a pretty nice monster. Hpboy111 (talkcontribs) 21:21, July 14, 2010 (UTC)

You're going to be Summoning those 12 more generic/semi-generic Synchro Monsters with Plaguespreader Zombie, right?--Akiza Izayoi (talkcontribs) 03:33, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Would definitely benefit from Black Rose Dragon. Once you clear the field, you can discard Wightmare and have a powered-up King of Skull Servants ready to get in a clear shot. Or use Mezuki for one in the Graveyard.PoirotH (talkcontribs) 03:43, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

wightmare?... when does that get released for tcg? I love the 15 synchros with no tuner. i recommend you add an Opti-Camouflage Armor and some Armageddon Knight's. ScribblesTheDarkClown (talkcontribs) 15:18, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Time for some individualized responses:

  • Bwinggale: Il Blud and Zombie World, eh? It's not a horrible idea, but I just think it would be too inconsistent. Zombie World would only really benefit a few cards of the deck - it would usually be a dead draw. As for Il Blud, it could work, but it just seems slow to me.
  • Drew-Gi-Oh: Oh, your question got answered by the next guy. Thanks, Hpboy.
  • Akiza: Well, the way I figure it, I've got three Creature Swaps and I'm bound to steal a tuner with one sooner or later. So why not? Plaguespreader Zombie is pretty neat, but my major concern is one of hand management, and I think I don't really need the extra oomph from Plaguespreader. But further testing may reveal something entirely different.
  • PoirotH: Black Rose Dragon? I love the idea, but I can't think of any way to summon it that would be consistent within the deck. There's no obvious 4+3, 2+5 or 1+6 combos.
  • Scribbles: I've already addressed the synchro concern. Opti-Camouflage Armor is neat but it seems inconsistent as well. As for Armageddon Knight... it just seems too slow for me. I've used it in decks before and it is not that fast.

Keep the critiques coming, guys! Thanks! Runer5h (talkcontribs) 03:24, July 16, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

You know, something's been bothering me and I'm sure others as well: what Tuners do you have to Summon your Synchro monsters, since there are none in your list? And you could summon Black Rose with a simple level 3 Tuner, since you already have many Level 4 Zombies or maybe even use 3 monsters for its Summon. There are 2 Tuners I can think of that would fit in very well here: Debris Dragon and Delta Fly. You can use Debris Dragon's effect to Special Summon the Lady in Wight and you have an instant BRD, and Delta Fly's Level changing effect makes it very flexible for Synchro Summons.PoirotH (talkcontribs) 04:00, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

He already mentioned that he has 3 Creature Swap. Best to be prepared if given a Tuner Monster.--Akiza Izayoi (talkcontribs) 05:26, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

But what if the opponent doesn't have a Tuner or if the opponent has a Tuner he can't use?PoirotH (talkcontribs) 05:30, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

Then I suppose that the Synchros will go lonely and unused. Adding a Tuner would definately slow down the deck, unless it's something like a single Plaguespreader that can be easily Special Summoned.--Akiza Izayoi (talkcontribs) 05:39, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

At least introduce Delta Fly. It's flexible enough to be combined with more than half the monsters in the Deck.PoirotH (talkcontribs) 05:44, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

I am Liking it so far, though I'm wondering why no Book of Life, and to those above: Syncros take up no space, just because you might not use them, is no reason not to have them.-82.11.158.0 (talk) 10:53, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think I'll use Delta Fly, but Debris Dragon sounds like a pretty good idea. I'm unsure what to take out for it, however... Runer5h (talkcontribs) 18:46, July 16, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

I would go with a single Shutendoji. You already have your little Wrightmare and Burial from a Different Dimension for RFG recursion.--Akiza Izayoi (talkcontribs) 18:50, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

I'm thinking that Magical Stone Excavation might be a interesting tech choice in this deck, mainly for One for One...and also maybe Dark Grepher for dumping power? Goblinpunch!
