Thank You Gadjiltron. I heard of this card and it's effects some time ago and I'm curious if a "Snow Fairy"/similar card & effect(s) (a balanced version, if such a thing could be so) is planned on release. It's current text makes it quite obviously not so. Some restriction(s) for the current controller, perhaps? A restriction that prevents the controller of "Snow Fairy" from activating any spell cards/spell card effects. (which would reflect (though to a considerably larger extent than the restriction imposed on the opposing duelist) the restrictions put on it's controller's opponent) Still, WaD, there would remain ways to abuse this cards effects. Another restriction may be the "you cannot s-summon or set other monsters the turn you summon this card" type restriction, and/or, this card cannot be s-summoned. Obviously, "Snow Fairy"'s stats are unimpressive, and it's fairy type status does not necessarily raise it's stock in a meaningful way. (that I can think of AtM) It's light attribute, however, makes it Honest compatible as well as a host of cards that specialize in treating light creatures with care. But in the end, attempting to balance what is essentially a monster version of "anti spell fragrance" would require most careful and thorough research to have it remain playable, and yet not difficult to a degree of ridiculousness to put in use. The more I think about this card, the more difficult is my attempt to fix it fit for dueling and I now have more respect for the Yugioh card creators as a result of trying to solve what is seemingly unsolvable. Or is it?

Does anybody have suggestions for what is the necessity of watering down this card's effect for dueling? (if only in theory) But then, the whole premise of making the card balanced is almost entirely negated by the fact that one could simply unleash a flurry of spells and set up shop, THEN summon this monster.. I appreciate any feedback.

It is strongly unlikely, largely because when cards are adapted for the real-life card game, the most recent ones (from either the anime or manga) usually stand the best chances. This card has been stuck in the anime for several years and it's not likely to appear in the real game at any moment.

And I doubt it would be very easy to balance this. Even if its effect were to affect its controller as well, it's more or less "Anti-Spell Fragrance on legs". And while it's vulnerable to destruction in battle, it's also much more easily searched since monster tutoring is more abundant compared to S/T tutoring. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 00:56, April 25, 2013 (UTC)

Hmm, well we could see it, I mean look at Cold Enchanter and how Ice Counters got support in Abyss Rising. Although the card doesn't seem that bad, even if it's more searchable, it's no worse than Spell Canceller in terms of difficulty of destroying. Plus 1100 ATK isn't a lot, but I would rather have a more general and useful card than Snow Fairy in an upcoming booster. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 13:03, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
