Forum:SynchroCast/Hopeless Magicians

I've got two decent ideas for decks that I'm trying to work with. One I already have, another I'd like to lean an older deck towards. First up is my SynchroCast deck.

That's my SynchroCast one so far. It's generally pretty good, but I feel like there's a bit more I could do for it.

My next one is a sort of Spellcaster Beatdown that I've had for a while that I'd like to make into something I call "Hopeless Spellcasters". It's similar to Hopeless Dragons, in that I have a bunch of high level Spellcasters in the hand or graveyard that I manipulate using Magical Exemplar.

So yeah, like I said, that's how it is now and I'd like to make it more like the "Hopeless Spellcaster" type deck I described above. Can anyone give advice on what to use to achieve that, or to just make this deck better? Budget isn't an option, so suggest anything.

• These seem like good deck ideas, but the Beatdown seems to leave you with alot of Dead Draws, some hand destruction, ie Card Destruction and some Graveyard Control, would be a good idea, maybe some Foolish Burial's, also run a Magical Citadel of Endymion in to the second deck as well, that will give you special summoning abilities of Endymion, the Master Magician. I believe you would also need some stall power in the second deck, until you get the counters on Skilled Dark Magician and the other monsters that you need. There are alot of targets for Allure of Darkness as well with the amount of Darks. Maybe another Chaos Sorcerer. Those are just some ideas, that you could use. I hope that helps.

Hm. I never thought of using Allure...that'd probably be a really good idea. I do run into dead draws a lot with that deck. I definitely feel like i need more stall in both decks. thanks for the tips! Puppetshowkid 05:38, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

Hmm... this might sounds obvious, but for the Hopeless Magicians you need another copy of Magical Exemplar. Spell Power Grasp might be useful to you as well. Runer5h 00:08, December 28, 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Thanks! Once I get more Exemplars I'll throw some more in. I don't know how I'd fit Power Grasps in with the Monster-Spell-Trap ratio already how it is. I updated the decklist because I recently got some new stuff and changed the deck a bit, but I'm still looking for advice! I plan on putting in Allures like Duelist33 said, I just need to get them and see how to fit them in. Any suggestions from anyone?
