I have a Temtempo on my field and my opponent has a face down xyz monster due to book of moon. Can I activate Temtempo's effect even though it's facedown?

I don't think so - it's like you're hide in the shadow and I can't see your color that well in the dark. So you will missed that Xyz Monster which was face-down at that point. --iFredCat 19:16, April 10, 2013 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) No, you cannot. This is an example of how Konami is starting to omit the description "face-up" when describing an effect that targets. "Flame Armor Ninja" and "Baby Tiragon" are examples of this. Even though you as a Duelist will be able to tell that a face-down monster with cards underneath it is an Xyz Monster with Xyz Materials, the type of that Monster Card cannot be truly identified while it is face-down. This also explains why when "Relinquished" equips a face-down monster to itself, it gains no ATK or DEF. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:21, April 10, 2013 (UTC)
That also approve with Levels, UltimateKuriboh, if you don't know that. (Synchro/Xyz Summon) --iFredCat 19:32, April 10, 2013 (UTC)
