Forum:Toons for amateurs

No, no. I'm not the amateur in question. I'm happy with my Banishark deck. But that's not my point. I want to try overwhelming some newbies at my school club with a Toon Deck. (Note we use the traditional format as of Dec. 5) What cards would work for best results? Also, quick question regarding the class A's: are they special summonable if they were sent straight to the graveyard or MUST they be summoned from the hand first? If you control Toon World, the Class A Toons work like Wulf, Lightsworn Beast.
The best cards for it are Toon Table of Contents, Toon Gemini Elf and Toon Masked Sorcerer. 207.233.120.2 (talk) 18:30, November 29, 2011 (UTC)
In other words I can play them from the graveyard with cards like "Monster Reborn" even if I didn't play them from my hand first? Anyway, thanks for those suggestions, but I have those in already. I'm making it so half my monsters are toons and the other half aren't just in case I lose Toon World (of which i have 3) so it makes a comeback. I assume Marshmallon is a must? How can I stop Toon World being destroyed?
Marshmallon is not a must. Your defenses will depend on what you're facing. Against any Deck, you can use Curse of Royal, although it won't protect you from mass destruction. Against Blackwings and Evol, I guess you can use Starlight Road too. 207.233.120.2 (talk) 18:38, November 29, 2011 (UTC)

You could use cards like Card Guard and Magic Reflector to protect your Toon World from destruction. Also, looking at Card Tips:Toon World, you could also try using Emergency Provisions as to stop Toon World from being destroyed, keeping your toons on the field, as it will be sent to the graveyard instead.
