Do you activate Golden Apples as your taking damage, or after you took damage? AKA, can you activate Golden Apples after Ancient gears, or Inzecktahawk?

- Same as Gorz, etc. See Breakdown of the Battle Phase, substep 6. "End of the Damage Step" is after that.

So can I or can I not activate Golden Apples after an attack from Ancient Gears, or an equipped Inzecktahawk?

- "your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards ...until the end of the Damage Step"
- Golden Apples is activated before end of the Damage Step. So you cannot activate it. It's not hard to figure out from what I've given you :/
- As for Inzektor Axe - Zektahawk, it is only When the equipped monster declares an attack. That means only at attack declaration (so no Mirror Force). The Golden Apples is not activated at attack declaration so yes.
