Would "Witch Doctor of Sparta" activate its effect if a monster is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck? --68.37.99.99 (talk) 03:21, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
- Main Deck only. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 04:08, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
- But "Witch Doctor of Sparta's" effect says Deck, not Main Deck. Isn't just like the fact that you can return Fusion/Synchro/Xyz from your Graveyard to your Extra Deck with "Pot of Avarice" (it only says Deck), but not with "Caam, Serenity of Gusto" (it says Main Deck)? (Maybe I'm wrong, I just wanna to understand the difference). --Missign0 (talk • contribs) 17:09, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
- Pot of Avarice works that way because you return the monsters at resolution, while Caam returns them as part of her cost. They had to write it as Main Deck on Caam, because people wouldn't get the difference. Deck always refers to Main Deck, never Extra Deck. For Pot of Avarice, the game tries to resolve its effect as best as possible, and since it can't return Extra-Deck monsters to the Main Deck, it returns them to the Extra Deck instead.
