I have a list of card ideas including arch-types that would make the game alot "cooler" per say. I also have a couple cards that grow onto other arch-types to make them better.

The New "Galactic" Arch-type

1. Galactic Soldier Type:Dark Level:4 [Warrior] "These soldiers know only the way of war and the orders of there superiors." ATK/1900 DEF/1000

2. Galactic Sniper Type:Dark Level:3 [Warrior/Effect] During each of your Standby Phases, inflict 800 damage to your opponent. ATK/1400 DEF/900

3. Galactic Heavy Gunman Type:Dark Level:4 [Warrior/Effect] This card is destroyed after the Battle Phase. ATK/2200 DEF/2200

4. Galactic Scout Type:Dark Level:2 Flip: Look at your opponents hand. Then draw 1 card. ATK/300 DEF/200

5. Seage, the Galactic Sergeant Type:Dark Level:5 [Warrior/Effect] The ATK of this card increases by 300 for every 'Galactic' monster on your side of the field. Discard this card to add 1 "Galactic Battleship War-Star" from your deck to your hand. ATK/2000 DEF/1700

6. Lupass, the Galactic Leautenant Type:Dark Level:6 [Warrior/Effect] When this card battle a monster and sends it to the graveyard, increase the ATK of this monster by 500. Discard 1 card to Special Summon 1 'Galactic' monster from your hand, deck, or graveyard ignoring the Summoning conditions. ATK/2200 DEF/1800

7. Gordok, the Galactic General Type:Dark Level:7 [Warrior/Effect] When this card Normal Summoned successfully, add 1 "Galactic Battleship War-Star" from your deck or graveyard to your hand. This card cannot be targeted and is unaffected by the effects of Trapand Spells. As long as this card remains face-up on the field discard 1 card from your hand during each of your Main Phases. Remove from play 1 'Galactic' monster from your graveyard to increase the ATK of this monster by 1000, until the End Phase of your opponents turn. ATK/2750 DEF/2500

8. Shonus, the Galactic War Hero Type:Dark Level:8 [Warrior/Effect] This card cannot be destroyed by battle and any battle damage inflicted to its controller involving this card becomes 0. When this card destroys another monster by battle and sends it to the graveyard, put 1 "Galactic Counter" on this card. Remove 4 "Galactic" counters from this card to remove from play all cards in your opponents hand. ATK/2900 DEF/2300

9. Galactic Medic Type:Dark Level:4 [Beast-Warrior/Effect] When this card is Normal Summoned successfully put 1 'Galactic' monster from your graveyard back into your deck, then shuffle your deck. Increase your Life Points equal to ATK of the monster placed back into your deck by this effect. ATK/1700 DEF/700

10. Galactic Pilot Type:Dark Level:5 [Reptile/Effect] When this card is Normal Summoned successfully, equip 1 'Galactic Battleship Fighter-Plane' to this card. ATK/1500 DEF/2000

Galactic Battleship Fighter-Plane Equip Spell Card Equip only to a 'Galactic' monster. The equipped monster gains 1500 ATK during your Battle Phase. During either players turn you can discard this card and the equipped monster to inflict damage to your opponent equal to the amount of stars the equipped monster had x400.

Galactic Battleship War-Star Field Spell card All face-up 'Galactic' monsters gain 300 ATK. This card cannot be destroyed by monster effects. When a 'Galactic' monster you control destroys a monster by battle place 1 "Galactic" counter on this card. During your Main Phase you can remove "Galactic" counters to activate the effect appropriate to the amount removed: 1-Increase the ATK of 1 'Galactic' monster on the field by 500. 2-Destroy 1 card on the field. 5-Destroy all monsters on your opponents side of the field. 10-Inflict 5000 damage to your opponent.

I have a couple too, those cards don't seem to be very creative though. My arch-type is: The Lost Desert, they revolve around the field spell card "Lost Desert-Sandsea" and also add Sand Counters to monsters.

Ursher, Mercenary of the Lost Desert Level: 4 Type: Earth [Warrior/Effect] When this card is Normal Summoned successfully, add 1 Sand Counter to a monster on the field. Remove 2 Sand Counters from this card to have this card attack your opponent directly. ATK/1800 DEF/1200

Drustin, Wiseman of the Lost Desert Level: 4 Type: Earth [Spellcaster/Effect] Once per turn, place 1 Sand Counter on a monster on your side of the field. Remove 2 Sand Counters from this card to destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on the field. ATK/1600 DEF/1300

Cactine, Vender of the Lost Desert Level: 3 Type: Water [Plant/Effect] Discard this card to increase your life points by 1000, and place 3 Sand Counters on 1 card on the field. ATK/1300 DEF/1900

Cayote, Scavenger of the Lost Desert Level: 4 Type: Dark [Beast/Effect] When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the graveyard, increase your life points by the original ATK of the destroyed monster. Once per turn place 1 Sand Counter on 1 card on the field. ATK/1700 DEF/900

Ailas, Spirit of the Lost Desert Level: 4 Type: Earth [Warrior/Spirit] This card returns to the owners hand during your end phase. When this card is Normal Summoned place 5 Sand Counters on 1 card on the field. When this card returns to its owners hand, remove 2 Sand Counters from 1 card to return 1 card on your opponents side of the field to its owners hand. ATK/1900 DEF/500

Gilas, Monster of the Lost Desert Level: 6 Type: Earth [Reptile/Effect] Once per turn place 1 Sand Counter on this card. Remove 3 Sand Counters from this card to inflict 1500 damage to your opponent. When this card attacks a defense position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as battle damage to your opponent. ATK/2600 DEF/1000

Braddlan, Prince of the Lost Desert Level: 4 Type: Light [Beast-Warrior/Effect] All Sand Counters on the field are now placed on this card. Remove 2 Sand Counters from this card to destroy 1 monster on your opponents side of the field. This card is unaffected by the effects of Traps. ATK/1950 DEF/700

Gale, Guide of the Lost Desert Level: 4 Type: Earth [Insect/Effect] Flip: Add 1 "Lost Desert-Sandsea" from your deck or graveyard to your hand. Place 1 Sand Counter on 1 card on your side of the field. ATK/1500 DEF/1500

Sacred Lamp of the Lost Desert Level: 1 Type: Fire [Machine/Effect] Flip: Add 1 "Dra RaGu'ul, Djinn of the Lost Desert" from your deck to your hand. Place 1 Sand Counter on 1 card on the field. ATK/100 DEF/100

Tremoris, Horror of the Lost Desert Level: 10 Type: Earth [Beast/Effect] This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing 10 Sand Counters from the field on the same turn while there is a "Lost Desert-Sandsea" on the field. This card cannot be targeted and is unaffected by your opponents Spells or Traps. When this card is Flip Summoned, destroy all face-up monsters your opponent controls. ATK/4300 DEF/3500

-Tremoris, is based of the Tremor monster either of the movie or off the lore, and also off the medival creature the Mongolian Death Worm which is a real thing.

Dra RaGu'ul, Djinn of the Lost Desert Level: 8 Type: Fire [Spellcaster/Effect] This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Lost Desert-Sandsea Field Spell Card All "Lost Desert" monsters on your side of the field gain 100 ATK for each Sand Counter on them. During each of your Standby Phases place 1 Sand Counter on each monster on your side of the field. When this card is destroyed, remove all Sand Counters from each monster you control.

Sand Storm Continuos Spell Card During each of your Standby Phases as long as there is a "Lost Desert-Sandsea" on the field, place 1 Sand Counter on each monster your control.

Gadjiltron's Ideas

Right then, since the "Dream Cards" thread might have been fossilized, I think it'd be better to post in here.

I like the Venom archetype's ideas, but the archetype has simply been too frail and too small to stand on its own. Here's things I think would make it more feasible:

Venom Constrictor
LV4 DARK
[Reptile/Effect]
Once per turn: You can target one face-up monster on the field; place 1 Venom Counter on it, and this monster cannot attack the same turn you use this effect. Monsters with Venom Counters on them cannot attack or change their battle positions.
1500/1000

Gives a monster with respectable searchable ATK power, and makes Venom Counters do something else while Venom Swamp isn't on the field. It'll literally paralyze the opponent to buy time for the Deck.

Venom Defiler
LV4 DARK
[Reptile/Effect]
You can discard this card from your hand to the Graveyard; add 1 "Venom Swamp" from your Deck to your hand.
1900/0

Field searchers and alternate beaters are always very helpful. Discarding to search for Swamp also feeds Vennominon and Vennominaga.

Venom Mamba
LV5 DARK
[Reptile/Effect]
Once per turn: You can discard a card; place 1 Venom Counter on each face-up monster your opponent controls. Monsters lose 500 ATK for each Venom Counter on them.
2300/1400

We'll need a better Tribute monster for the archetype. Boa is just horrible.

Feel free to comment and post suggestions on fine-tuning these cards. I just came up with them, after all. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 02:13, July 25, 2012 (UTC)
