Question[edit]

If I control 2 "Decoyroids" on the Field, can my opponent still attack one of them or not attack at all, like when you have 2 "Magician's Valkyrie"? Lugia61617 15:04, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

  • The wording is a little tricky on this card. It says "cannot select a face-up monster as an attack target except 'Decoyroid'". That would mean that your opponent can select an attack with any card with "Decoyroid" in its name on the field. So even if you have 2 Decoyroids on the field, your opponent can still attack them both, as they both have "Decoyroid" in their name, but they cannot attack any other monster you control. Thank you. Lugia61617 18:30, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Roid Infinite Loop Question[edit]

This next question of mine concerns a possible infinite loop which used Decoyroid. If I had "Decoyroid" "Ambulanceroid" and "Rescueroid" on the field, and my opponent had a monster which must attack all my monsters, am I allowed to used Ambulanceroid and rescueroid's effects (in opposite order, due to its potentioal as an infinite loop? What if I had "Card of Safe Return" - meaning that if the loop continued I would eventually lose? Would that still be allowed? I'm just not sure considering they both say "you can" rather than making it forced. I know it's more of a general roid question, but I just made a "Roid" deck - so I must learn its potential by monday, when I test it Lugia61617 18:30, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

  • This loop was shown in the anime, where an Ultimate Tyranno tried to go against the Decoyroid, Ambulanceroid and Rescueroid. Syrus had comboed Cyber Summon Blaster to inflict damage whenever Decoyroid was summoned, which led to Hassleberry's eventual defeat (although he had a card to get out of the loop, he chose not to use it). I think as long as you put in a card which would damage the opponent, yourself, or destroy the monsters involved in the loop, the loop is okay to create. Otherwise, you guys would have to end up with a tie, since the loop would never resolve and no one can stop it. Swaggs 18:39, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
  • Well, it can resolve, and that's the scenario I was thinking of. I lack a card which has such ability for now. When I say it can resolve, it's because the card's effects are optional. Thanks anyway.

Oh, didn't notice effects were optional. It's been so long since I used a roid deck anyways,so I'm getting a little rusty on their effects. Hope you have good luck with yours. Swaggs 18:53, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
