Despite this card being one of a kind, in the English dub, several of these cards are incorrtectly? seen in Leon's numerous pile of cards. --HerrRodney 16:27, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

I think that the text under anime + manga appearances is incorrect. It says "Zigfried altered the effect so the opponent would have to discard instead of the player." I'm pretty sure that since the card was never meant to be released, it never had an effect. So Zigfried made up his own, super-powerful effect.

Perhaps not, the card was said to have never been finished, but that doesn't mean that it never had any effect in the first place. To just print a card with a picture on it would have been pointless. However, if the card had retained it's other effects of not being able to be destroyed, forced battle each turn and special summoning 1 level 4 star monster each turn, but required the loss of cards for the player using it instead of the opponent, then the card would have been good, but not nearly as good as how it was after Zigfried modified it. I have a feeling that what he changed was adding the protection from Monster card effects, and changing the discard effect target from the player who played it to their opponent. In this way, the card became much better in the eyes of Zigfried. But those are just my thoughts.

The card had a clause added to the end that made the opponent pay the discard cost. If you check the Japanese text, you'll see it was meant to have the player who controls the field spell pay the cost. So, seriously, STOP CHANGING IT. Don't make me lock this page. It's quite obvious by looking at the Japanese text. Danny Lilithborne 02:59, December 11, 2009 (UTC)

Since this page is locked, can someone add this edit to the page:

  • Send half of your Deck to the Graveyard (rounded down) during your Standby Phase. If you cannot, destroy this card.

If you don't add the "rounded down", then you can still pay the cost with 1 card left in your Deck. If you do round down, you cannot pay the cost with 1 card left (which is what happened in the anime). Blueapple128 02:45, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

Could someone who can override the lock please make the appropriate changes? Thank you:

Further talk on Golden Castle of Stromberg[edit]

The effect of Golden Castle of Stromberg: "During each of your Standby Phases, send half of your Deck to the Graveyard. If you cannot, destroy this card."

-it is really not fair if you will round down, because in the first place it is clear that if you cannot send "HALF OF YOUR DECK TO GRAVEYARD, Golden Castle of Stromberg would be destroyed" so if the number of your cards in your deck is odd then you cannot send half of your deck.

-it is also clear just by reading the text on the card's effect that there is no rounding up or down that would happen if the total number of cards in your deck is Odd number.

-also it is not explainable on what happened on the anime, an example is the card "Deck Destruction Virus". On the anime, kaiba activated Deck Destruction Virus when his monster "Peten the dark clown" is destoyed by battle. but however, Deck Destruction Virus effect applies only when a fiend type monster with 500atk or less is destroyed by battle, but peten the dark clown is not a fiend because it is a spellcaster type monster.
