Is Felgrand Dragon's effect of gaining ATK activated if it's summoned by this card's effect?

Is Felgrand Dragon's effect of special summoning activated?

Flip & Tribute Summon?[edit]

Once the magic card has been played, and a monster has been special summoned onto the field in face down defence. Are you allowed to flip summon it that same turn of activating the spell card? Then tributing it for a tribute summon had you not summoned yet? Canthanum 15:50, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

  • No. You cannot change the battle position of a monster on the turn it is summoned. You could use Book of Taiyou to flip it into face-up Attack Position, since it would not count as a manual battle position change, but it wouldn't count as a flip summon. Either way, you're free to Tribute it, and providing you haven't performed a Normal Summon or Set that turn, you can Tribute it for a Tribute Summon.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 15:53, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for clearing that up so quickly and efficiently Canthanum 16:16, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Anime & TCG Effects[edit]

They're identical, so why waste the space listing the anime effect? Just wondering. —This unsigned comment was made by KamikazePyro (talkcontribs)

If you read it, Currently it says:
"Each player selects a monster in their Graveyard and Special Summons it in face-down Defense Position."
"Each player selects a monster in their Graveyard and Special Summons it in face-up Defense Position."

My bad for not signing before. And thanks for clarifying. --KamikazePyro (talkcontribs) 09:27, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

In Nightmare Troubadour[edit]

In Nightmare Troubadour, it appears that you cannot use this card unless both players can special summon a monster from their graveyard. Is this true of the official game? User:Gosh Josh 18:12, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

  • According to the rulings section, yes that is true of the official game, if by the official game you mean the TCG/OCG.--Qim1 (talkcontribs) 00:16, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

Revealing the card[edit]

  • I cannot find it in the rulings or tips/trivia, so do you reveal this card to your opponent? --StephenWalker97 (talkcontribs) 23:10, December 23, 2013 (UTC)
