It's not too big of a problem, just remove them again. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 01:17, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

Tips for Gustav Max[edit]

Hey Desert Runner, could you run some strategies for Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max involving machines? I want to build such a deck, but i don't know any useful strategies Guardmaster (talkcontribs) 19:38, February 14, 2013 (UTC)

No problem, I'll look into it and keep you appraised. -- TheDesertRunner (talkcontribs) 19:48, February 14, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Tips for Gustav Max[edit]

I'll keep the tactics here before I start adding them to the Card Tips:Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max page to you can surprise the locals with the early knowledge; as very few people bother to read my Talk page and this card isn't legal in Australia (right now), so none of the people here can use it against me at Nationals.

Right off the bat, multiple copies of Metal Reflect Slime is a very easy tech addition to any Machine deck to use to XYZ Summon it to the field. Use it first as a cheap field blocker, then because it's a Level 10 card it's ready food for Gustav Max when you're set to go. This wouldn't be my first choice however, as I prefer the trickery of Tannhauser Gate and two Machine monsters that have their ATK lowered or were already weak to begin with (such as Satellite Cannon, Solar Wind Jammer and Quickdraw Synchron) for the easier XYZ Summon option.

E.g., Special Summon Solar Wind Jammer from hand => discard to Special Summon Quickdraw Synchron from hand => Activate Tannhauser Gate to make both of those monsters become a Level 10 through their combined Levels => then XYZ Summon Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max and keep your Normal Summon for anything else.

This tactic with other Level 4 Machine monsters already in your deck also gives you the open shot of using Number 9: Dyson Sphere too in your Extra Deck for another rude shock to your opponent; just use Tannhauser Gate with a Level 5 monster and a Level 4 monster instead. This tactic is actually very powerful as with Gustav Max you will be sending monsters to the graveyard to act as food for Machina Fortress or Dyson Sphere to keep a Machina/Geargia cycle active for quite some time if your opponent isn't very fast with graveyard control (e.g., Crevice Into the Different Dimension; Macro Cosmos; D.D. Crow; and The Transmigration Prophecy") or bouncing away the threat instead.

If your opponent isn't fast, they'll take up to 4000LP damage; potentially give you Machina Fortress in multiples; catch a blast from Dyson Sphere in the face (it has a limited Direct Attack card effect in addition to its strong self-protection); and potentially give you total field control for enough time so you win the round.

One thing that absolutely destroys this tactic is if Tannhauser Gate is blocked: that's why I mentioned Metal Reflect Slime as a fail safe; specifically mentioned that you still have your Normal Summon with my tactic so you can still use it; and recommended Quickdraw Synchron so you have Synchro Summon options too. They could also play Chain Disappearance against you before you activate Tannhauser Gate.

This is the safest and most consistent Machine Deck strategy I can think of at this time of the morning (4:37AM +8 GMT right now!) and why I haven't written up a full deck (which I'd call Planetary Defense Matrix).

Let me know how you go with it. -- TheDesertRunner (talkcontribs) 20:46, February 14, 2013 (UTC)

Oh and one more thing, if you're a lunatic like me I'd throw Damage Mage in your face when you went to burn me for 2000LP. -- TheDesertRunner (talkcontribs) 20:50, February 14, 2013 (UTC)

Lightserpent strategies[edit]

Hey Runner. I kinda lied about making a deck based round gustav Max. I just really want to see what it was like to make such a deck. Anyway, I really want to see more content on the Tips page for Lightserpent, so could you possibly add more strategies for that card (especially for Reptile and LIGHT decks). And sorry for not telling you earlier. I'm really not that good of a builder at all. Guardmaster (talkcontribs) 16:51, February 15, 2013 (UTC)

That's fine, just be honest next time; I'm very open to teaching strategies that are more through the looking glass anyway, so many players think I'm nuts. I know of a couple of insane (but viable) Reptile deck tactics, but few that specialize so specifically on LIGHT monsters. Anything in particular catch your fancy or do you want Lightserpent to be the core of the deck? -- TheDesertRunner (talkcontribs) 16:56, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not tryin to build a deck, but you can use both strategies that involve serpent as a core card or support Guardmaster (talkcontribs) 17:09, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
Sure I'll see what I can ferret out in the way of "engine" strategies. -- TheDesertRunner (talkcontribs) 17:17, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
I haven't found much yet that isn't very situational with deck favor being with Banishment right now. If I find something stable I'll post it. TheDesertRunner (talkcontribs) 14:43, March 7, 2013 (UTC)

There are no such as "Flelves".[edit]

I agreed with you about that word, because it's such to be multiple copies of "Flelf". If they wanna say that there are two "Flelves", they are such to say as this - "You can run two copies of 'Flelf'." instead. --iFredCat 14:11, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

Got it. I'll remember that for future editing. TheDesertRunner (talkcontribs) 11:54, April 23, 2013 (UTC)
