- This is the first Malefic monster without armor despite "Malefic Truth Dragon" being the first in real life.
- This card's OCG/TCG effect had to change from the anime because of the "There can only be 1 Malefic monster on the field" rule the other Malefic monsters have, but its new effect still forces it to only summon Malefic Synchro Monsters, due to the others having high Levels.
- This monster is the 2nd Machine-Type Malefic monster; the 1st is "Malefic Cyber End Dragon".
- This is also the only Malefic Tuner Monster.
- This monster bears a resemblance to the Ancient Gear Archetype, and to a lesser extent the support cards of the Gadgets.
- Specifically, this card looks like "Ancient Gear" the most.
- This card could probably be a reference to the "Yusei Gear" (The key to the original Momentum and Yusei Fudo was named after it) which caused the Zero Reverse.
- This card's effect is similar to "Eccentric Boy", "Mara of the Nodic Alfar" and "Tech Genus Cyber Magician".
- This is the only "Malefic" monster that can be Normal Summoned, and the only one that does not require a Field Spell card to remain on the field.
