Okay, well I read in a forum (can't find it now) That If i have a Don zaloog equipped with united we stand (2200atk) and attack a face up Doomcalibur, my opponent can activate the effect of his calibur to negate and destroy my don zaloog when I use his effect. is that true? The negation effect of Doomcaliber Knight is a Mandatory Trigger Effect. Monsters are only sent to the Graveyard during Sub-step 7 of the Damage Step. The effect of Don Zaloog activates during Sub-step 5. The effect of Doomcaliber Knight is still activated.
