Okay, well I read in a forum (can't find it now) That If i have a Don zaloog equipped with united we stand (2200atk) and attack a face up Doomcalibur, my opponent can activate the effect of his calibur to negate and destroy my don zaloog when I use his effect. is that true? If you destroy Doomcaliber, then it can no longer be tributed. Drew-Gi-Oh! (talkcontribs) 03:58, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

The negation effect of Doomcaliber Knight is a Mandatory Trigger Effect. Monsters are only sent to the Graveyard during Sub-step 7 of the Damage Step. The effect of Don Zaloog activates during Sub-step 5. The effect of Doomcaliber Knight is still activated. It is tributed and negates the effect of Don Zaloog even though it was already destroyed by battle. See Breakdown of the Battle Phase.-- HHTurtle  (Talk) 04:50, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

So, assuming that the effect of calibur is "you can" ... can he activate is effect to negate zaloog? MobiusxXx (talkcontribs) 04:55, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

If it was optional then you shouldn't be able to activate its effect. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 05:03, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
