- This card combos perfectly with "Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest", and can even destroy itself for its effect.
- If you have one "Flame Tiger" and two "Chain Dogs" in your "Graveyard," as well as any Level four or lower Beast monster in your hand: you can skip your draw to summon "Flame Tiger" then summon the Beast in your hand, allowing you to summon a first "Chain Dog". Then proceed to Xyz Summon "Terrorfang Wolf Guiyawulf" with "Tiger" and "Dog". Now you control two Beast monsters and can summon out the second "Chain Dog", and either Xyz Summon another copy of this card (allowing "Chain Dog" to go back to the Graveyard), or just destroy one of your Beasts for this card's effect.
- You can also use this card's effect to destroy "Manticore of Darkness", "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys", or "Fire King High Avatar Garunix", plus trigger their effects.
- This card works well with "Heraldic Beast Leo". Since "Leo" will be destroyed at the end of the turn it is Normal Summoned in any case, you can make the most of it by using it with this card's effect, so not only will you be able to grab a "Heraldic Beast" monster, but you will also be able to destroy a card with the effect of "Dire Wolf".
- You can use this card's effect with a Gusto deck, because many of their searcher cards are Winged Beast type. The best targets to use from your side of the field are "Gusto Gulldo" and "Gusto Falco", but with there being many ways to recycle Gusto cards from your graveyard to your deck other choices are possible too depending on your deck style even if they won't generate immediate benefits (as some Gusto monsters that are Winged Beast need to be destroyed by battle to get their effects).
- For further advantage, consider making the "1 other card on the field" target to be destroyed "Gusto Squirro" so you can activate its effect to special summon a Level 5 or higher Gusto monster from your deck.
- This card's effect can be beneficial in Crystal Beast Deck.
- This card works well in Harpie Decks dues to "Hysteric Party" and "Elegant Egotist"
