- This monster's Japanese name is based on Gokō, a card combination in the hanafuda card game, Koi-Koi.
- The Gokō is a combination of five hikari cards, each worth about twenty points.
- The images of the suits associated with the hikari cards (cherry blossom, Chinese phoenix, pine, willow, and full moon) appear in the background of this card's artwork.
- Fittingly, this card was Synchro Summoned using these Synchro Materials in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V episode 69: "A Concerted Effort": "Flower Cardian Cherry Blossom with Curtain", "Flower Cardian Paulownia with Phoenix", "Flower Cardian Pine with Crane", Flower Cardian Willow with Calligrapher", and "Flower Cardian Zebra Grass with Moon", each representing the five hikari cards.
