- This card has two counterparts known as Deck Devastation Virus and Eradicator Epidemic Virus. Whether intentional or not, their names go in in alphabetical order based on release, C to D to E.
- This card's Japanese name translates to Deck Destruction Virus of Death.
- This card was released by mistake in several Power of the Duelist Sneak Preview Events.
- The Kanji in the artwork for this card can be read as shi (Death)
- The first OCG version of this card had a different artwork.
- The UDE Gold Series version of this card is currently very valuable, due to being Short Printed. The speculated rate of pulling a Crush Card Virus is one in ten packs (Though some have claimed it to be as uncommon as 1 in 75 packs).
