From September 2004 to August 2006, I became renowned within my circle of dueling buddies as "The Dueling Encyclopedia", as I actually did my homework on the game mechanics and card rulings to become an unofficial judge. As you can see, many of my cards focus on ridding the field of my opponent's resources, while consolidating my own, in order to directly attack their Life Points. "Ceasefire" is there to both pour salt on their wounds via Effect Damage and to disallow their face-down surprises. The inclusion of "Magic Cylinder" pretty much speaks for itself.
