- "Swing of Memories", "Birthright", "Soul Resurrection", "Silent Doom" and "Ancient Rules" can be used to Special Summon Level 8 Normal Monsters from the Graveyard or hand to use as Xyz Material Monsters for "Thunder-End Dragon".
- In a Disaster Dragon deck, "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" can be used to Special Summon Level 8 Dragon-Type Normal Monsters, such as "Tri-Horned Dragon, or Blue-Eyes White Dragon" for the Xyz Material Monsters of this card.
- "De-Fusion" can be used on a Fusion Summoned "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" to Special Summon "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" cards to use as Xyz Material Monsters
- Other Normal Monsters can be used as Xyz Material by changing their Levels.
- You can summon this monster through this method: first normal summon Lord of D. and play The Flute of Summoning Dragon to special summon two Blue-Eyes White Dragons. Then use these two dragons to Xyz Summon this card.
- You then can detach 1 of the "Blue-Eyes" to destroy all the other monsters on the field, allowing you to perform a direct attack. But first Special Summon the detached "Blue-Eyes" from the Graveyard with cards such as Birthright or Monster Reborn, equip either this card or the "Blue-Eyes" with "Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce", and then perform the direct attack. You'll inflict (2500 x 2) + 3000 = a total of exactly 8000 damage, just enough for an OTK.
- Use level altering cards like Star Changer and Noisy Gnat so you can change the level of Level 7 Normal Monster Cards like Red-Eyes B. Dragon and Dark Magician to meet the requirements for the summoning of this card.
