- This card can be searched via "Sangan". However, this is not advised since "Gearspring Spirit's" effect requires a Machine-only Graveyard.
- This card can be used really well in a Machina Deck. Besides its own effect, it's a Level 8 Machine-Type Monster that can be discarded in order to Special Summon "Machina Fortress".
- This card can be used in a Genex Deck, which are mostly Machine-Types themselves (and, in the case of Genex Allies, also DARK), while also being a great Synchro Material Monster for the Synchro Summon of "Locomotion R-Genex" if coupled with "Genex Recycled".
- This card works well in decks with monsters like "Blue Thunder T-45", "Victory Viper XX03" and "Falchionβ" because they need to destroy monsters by battle to activate their effects.
- Combine this card with "Truckroid" for a guaranteed boost in ATK.
- As this card is Level 8 and Special Summons itself, it can be used for a Rank 8 Xyz Summon, such as "Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Killer".
- Combine with the effect of "Number 33: Chronomaly Machu Mech" to inflict damage and possibly result in a OTK.
- Since this card is a Semi-Nomi monster, it can be revived with "Call of the Haunted" and/or "Limit Reverse" for additional uses.
- Use "Heart of Clear Water" to protect this monster from battle and card effects.
