- This card is one of Vellian Crowler's signature cards. He first summoned this card in his duel against Jaden Yuki by sacrificing the two Wicked Tokens created from two Statue of the Wicked cards being destroyed by Heavy Storm. This card was then used to destroy Jaden's Elemental Hero Avian with this card's effect inflicting Piercing Damage to Jaden. - During his duel against Chumley Huffington, Crowler summoned this card on his opening turn by sacrificing two Ancient Gears (themselves summoned by Magnet Circle LV2). It destroyed Chumley's Eucalyptus Mole, but was in turn destroyed by Chumley's Big Koala. Crowler later summoned a second one via Ancient Gear Factory, which was weakened by Chumley's Ayers Rock Sunrise. Chumley then sent his Master of Oz to attack this card, but Crowler activated Limiter Removal, doubling this card's ATK so that it destroyed Master of Oz instead and won him the duel.
- Crowler uses this card during his duel with Jean-Louis Bonaparte as well as during the three-way duel between himself, Bonaparte and Maximillion Pegasus.
- He is briefly seen using this card after being turned into a Duel Ghoul.
- This card's last appearance was in Crowler's second duel against Jaden. This time, he summoned three of them by using Spell Gear and sacrificing all three of his Ancient Gear Soldiers. The three copies destroyed Jaden's Elemental Hero Sparkman, Elemental Hero Clayman, and Elemental Hero Wildheart all at once. Jaden later destroyed one of them with Elemental Hero Flare Neos, but Crowler later returned it to his hand using Ancient Gear Workshop and fused all three copies into the Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem. After Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem was destroyed, Crowler used its effect and brought a copy of this card back onto the field, where it was destroyed by Elemental Hero Flame Wingman, winning Jaden the duel and mirroring the end of Crowler and Jaden's first duel, a coincidence not lost upon Crowler.
- This card's attack name is Mechanized Meleé in the English dub and Ultimate Pound in the original.
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's
- This card appeared in Episode 67. Heitmann uses it against Yusei to prove that a duelist who uses low level monsters is a low level duelist, but he lost the Duel on Yusei's second turn.
- Heitmann stated that the Ancient Gear deck is a special Vintage Deck that only the elite instructors at Duel Academy are allowed to use.
